Q: In 2 screen mode, does it crop the image, stretch the image, or add black bars?

It stretches it vertically. Maybe you can change that but if so, it was not immediately obvious. So, side by side and each picture is a bit stretched vertically (tall&skinny)

Q: the picture show a LAN port. is for remote control? is possible find more info?

The lan port communicates the signals to the remote display only as far as I know.

Q: Has anyone tried taking 2 outputs from a single computer and running both at the same time on the TV in split screen (mode 3)??

This item has one output to either a TV or projector and four inputs from either laptops or any other output device for video/audio. If i read the question right , you wanted to know if it was good for two outputs and it is not.
