We struggled to get the cam in and close this tight around it. There is still a gap but so far no issues with cam picture quality so I hope that remains the case. I worried over time that some water might get in where it didn’t close all the way around the cam. It’s been a couple of months and it’s holding up great.

I must say that the enclosure is nicely designed and will most likely keep the water out. As you can see from the picture, I installed it under the soffit on my home. I wished that the USB power cable was routed through the housing and thus the base so that it would not be exposed and vulnerable.If you notice from the picture, I hole-sawed a circular hole to pass the connector into the attic. The hole had to be larger to accommodate the end of the connector. I duct taped a rubber stopper to plug the hole in the picture and this worked just fine. My main complaint is that I recently had to remove the camera and although I could easily unscrew the mount, I had to undo the four screws holding the housing in order to disconnect the USB power.The reason I had to bring the camera down is that I needed to change Wifi SSID and you have to do a reset into setup mode to do that. That requires having the bare camera in your hand.Had the designer made the USB plug externally accessible, it would have been easier to remove. Also, had Wyze designed an easier way to change SSID rather than having to hold the setup button and go thru initial configuration, this would have been easier.Overall, I am giving this pretty good rating because for the cost of the housing here and the Wyze camera, this has got to be the cheapest outdoor camera solution possible.

This does the job of securing the Wyze camera in a hard plastic shell. But the hood is fairly short and rainy weather may pose a problem in the future.It's turned a slight yellow ting over the past few months, but still seems to be doing the job of protecting the back area where the plug is located. The front area where the camera lens is can get wet where I have the camera located, but overall, it does the job of keeping the back area safe.The screw ports are very deep in the unit, so make sure not to lose that screwdriver.

I like that it is small and the video clarity and quality is really well for the size and price. What I dont like is that it doesnt appear to record the human detection well when someone is in view and it, doesn't record fast enough. I believe it records new events every 5 minutes. It states that if different activity happens then it will record that. But it is not true. There have been countless times when a car drives by it will record and then i would walk outside (human detection) and it didnt record me. However you will certainly need the mini sd card where that records continuous footage that you can play back i believe it i up to 4 days then it auto records over the old footage. Setup was super easy. Download the app on your phone. Plug camera into electrical outlet. Push button at the bottom of the camera. It will say ready for setup. Go on the app a barcode will appear, hold your phone up 2 the camera, camera will read barcode and then setup is complete. The wall bracket mount was super easy. It has a front and back cover with 4 screws. Extra screws and a little screwdriver comes with it. The camers comes with a 3 foot cord however, if you want to mount it somewhere away from an electrical outlet without using extension cords. It is suggested to order the 25ft cord for about 8 dollars.

It fits well, but is not 100 percent...

Have used these covers for over 2 years directly out in the open. No water issues.

DOES NOT FIT WYZE CAM 3. I’ve been using these for 2 years. One of my cameras is directly exposed to rain. They work. They’re very cheaply made but they just work. My only complaint is the case used to snap closed. Now you have to put four screws in. They do send extra screws and a screwdriver. It’s just inconvenient.

Amazon app said this wall mount was frequently bought with the Wyze v3 i was purchasing. But mount was the incorrect model for the Wyze camera and it didn't fit. So product was fine. Amazon app is not for incorrect pairing.

Los materiales son buenos, y el armado y ajuste también lo es, además trae todo lo necesario (desarmador, tornillos y taquetes) para armarla.Esta carcasa cubre perfectamente a la cámara, evitando el ingreso de polvo y agua.No la tengo expuesta a lluvia directa, solo a salpicaduras y a lluvia de forma intermitente.

Esta bien hecho con relación a su precio-calidad.
