The pack looks impressively close to the original Dyson component, but it wasn't a perfect fit. In the DC 59 (and others, presumably), the switch is built into the battery pack itself, and the vacuum's trigger pushes down on it. With the replacement battery, I found my vac required the trigger to be pulled all the way in order to turn on rather than about halfway with the original battery, which resulted in the motor turning off occasionally while the unit was being worked back and forth on the floor. Not wanting to deal with returns, I used epoxy to build up the top of the button in question, making it higher, and that fixed the problem. I can't imagine most people would want to do this.... Haven't gauged battery life yet.

The battery looks and feels about the same as the OEM it is replacing, though is slightly lighter. 14.65oz - old vs 12.75oz - new. I am hoping this is due to battery technology and not poor workmanship, since it has higher capacity batteries than the one it replaces.It is a bit stiff when inserting into the DC59, but it fits. The one issue is the trigger to engage the battery is slightly shorter than the original, so will have to insert a spacer to get the same trigger response.There are slight cosmetic differences also, though so far have not appeared to hinder. I am yet to completely reassemble my DC59 so have not tested this battery fully.Hopefully this battery pack lasts 4 or more years, like the OEM version (4.5 years) did.

I have only had this battery for a few days so I am not sure how long it will last. However, I must say that I am impressed with how well it is working for me now. My drill spins faster and seems to have more power that it has ever had. So either I am imagining things or the battery has a higher voltage (I think I will get a volt meter and check it). The battery is designed for a Porter Cable tool, but I know that if I put a notch on the opposite side of the plastic case that it will fit into a Black and Decker 20 volt tool. I have notched this battery, which voids the warranty, and used it in my Black and Decker yard tools. With the 5000 mAh capacity it increased the run time of my yard tools significantly. I would certainly buy another one of these batteries that is for sure.This is a follow-up to my first review. I liked this battery so well that I purchased a second battery. I do not know how the seller can afford to sell this battery at this price. A genuine Porter-Cable 20 Volt battery at a local retail store was selling in the high $50.00 range. I could have purchased 4 of these batteries for less money and in my opinion these batteries are superior to the genuine Porter-Cable batteries. If you are in need of a 20V battery don't hesitate buying one of these batteries.

I replaced my original Dyson V6 battery with this replacement battery and I am very satisfied with this, no issues.So far works well on my Dyson V6, saved me $100 by allowing me keep using mine.

This is a replacement battery for my Ryobi tools. Since I've only had it a month, and just tried it a few times, it does work. Hopefully, it will last longer than my other replacement did, which was about fifteen months. Will update as appropriate.

I have been using this battery for a couple of months and so far it is working as well or better than the original battery that came with my Black & Decker weed-wacker.

I ignored other bad reviews and made a wrong purchase. With the new battery, the Dyson V6 will not shut off or power any of the attachments. Customers need to take action. Do not support a supplier that has a history of selling defective items.

Very pleased with the lasting charge and recharge time. Equal to if not better than the more expensive B&D product it replaced.
