Supershrimp (Group of 10, Tank/Container not Included), Only Guaranteed to be Authentic and Have a Life Arrival Guarantee if Bought from Petshrimp

At first, I didn't think I received all ten. Fortunately, this wasn't the case. A few were clear and hard to see. A month later, they are all doing well. 6 in one bowl and 4 in another. My kids love'em and I get to live out vicariously my childhood dream of owning "sea monkeys".**8 months later**- still doing fine on very little maintenance. I just add some Hawaiian volcanic water from the grocery store occasionally. I buy the Waiakea Water brand.

These guys are so fun to watch, this is a great supplier! They're tank mates for my lone survivor from an evil EcoSphere which I got for Christmas 2018. Such an interesting novelty until the first Eco-shrimp died after only 4 months. It was so sad to see them suffer, so in summer I ordered the start up supplies and salt from Supershrimp's website and got my 1 gallon tank going. Broke the sphere to save my last shrimp and released him into the new setup, could immediately tell a difference in the little guy! Just recently ordered these extra shrimps to provide him some company, arrived super well packaged and all in good health. One swam right up to the original occupant and I swear he looked shocked to see friends again (as shocked as a tiny shrimp can look). They have all been happily noshing away together for the last few weeks and I love observing them together.

Shrimps are very entertaining and calming. But shrimp keeping is not as easy as carefree pets as advertised. Some experience keeping fish will help otherwise these are very expensive learning pets. Six of my batch of ten died within the first week. I also felt for the steep shipping fee I could get more than the two ounces of water that came with my order. I was hoping I could use established water from seller’s tank so the algae spores would help move my tank along. Currently I just have biofilm. Customer service could be a bit better as I received a reply that shipping costs prevented seller from being able to ship more water. I’ve bought these shrimps from Reddit’s GotSnails, was sent more water upon my request. But I guess with a small hobbyist operation like this, I can’t expect the usual amazon vendor bending backwards to please clients.

The media could not be loaded.  I was a little concerned that these were shipped via USPS because they are slow and don't ring the bell when a package is delivered, but all 10 were healthy on arrival. I had one Opae Ula shrimp left from a container I started about 5 years ago, so I was upgrading to a one gallonish vase and adding these guys. They've been added for just over a week now with no casualties. Most of them got their color back in a few hours, although a few are just extremely pale. I have been enjoying watching them actively swimming around or feeding on the lava rocks. They seem quite happy now. LOVE THESE LITTLE GUYS!

Shrimp arrived well, inside a box with lots of packing peanuts and a hand warmer and then inside a styrofoam box with more packing peanuts (weather around then was 45 F locally). All 10 looked healthy Theyve been troopers since I havent had my tank set up correctly and needed to switch between tanks (pH was too 6-6.5 instead of 8ish). Theyre still alive 4 days after in those conditions which I think is a testament to their health condition. Definitely would to buy from this seller recommend so far!

The shrimp were healthy, just wondering why pieces of string was in the bag. Although shrimp were not redish in color when they get acclimated will add to the review
