I have 7 TV boxes, and this is by far the BEST
I am an overseas contractor, and over here, there is no TV, so we use TV boxes to satisfy the ability to keep up with our favorite shows. We've bought several TV boxes from local vendors here, but we thought that was all there was. I came across this in a search one day and pulled the trigger. This was the best decision I've made! So here's the important information--the box is fast. Opens the apps lightning fast. The main screen is very simple and easy to navigate. You can add your 'favorite' apps to the screen with just a couple of simple clicks. I highly recommend a wireless mouse in place of the remote, but the remote isn't too un-handy. There are several complaining of the remote on these things, and I can tell you--they're not made for permanent use, but they can get you set up pretty easily. There is plenty of storage onboard for those who don't feel the need to download their movies and shows, but you can easily dump those things to a USB drive using one of the two ports on the side of the box. The boxes we used before had issues with skipping, stalling, and disconnecting. This box runs for 12-14 hours straight without any issues. There's no issues with overheating, and the dual band wifi makes sure you're getting the fastest and clearest connection. I highly recommend using the 5GHz for best performance on 1080 and 4K resolution video. All in all, a great little box--especially if you're looking to cut the cord!

Great box for running Android apps and Android TV apps.
Be aware that if you want to run Android TV apps, like YouTube TV and Netflix, you need this box (M8S pro L), not the M8S pro. That one runs only Android apps. The box is fast and has plenty of built-in memory plus you can easily add USB memory. If you are a cord-cutter with a bit of tech savvy, this box is much more flexible than the Firestick or Roku stick. You can get apps from the PlayStore and have the open environment of Android, rather than the closed environment of the others. Seems like a great lower cost alternative to the Nvidia Shield.Initially there was a problem with the Netflix app, but customer service responded very quickly and fixed the problem.Very happy with the purchase.

Wonderful Android TV Box Once You Customize It!
For a TV Box, this isn't half bad! It supports YouTube, Netflix, Chrome and Airplay to your smart devices! The only thing I don't like is the UI interface. It feels really sluggish and moves a lot slower than most other interfaces. I used others like Simple Launcher and it feels much faster. The remote is good for being included with the box, but butteries were not included. You will have to supply your own. Games are possible running on this device, but don't try and go for anything crazy like AAA titles. Crossy Road is fine. Video streaming is superb. The picture looks just as clear as it was intended unlike most other TV boxes at this price. Overall, it's a nice box! Just know that having things to connect it to like external keyboards/mice will make a world's difference in your experience.

buggy, at best
The build itself feels like cheap manufacturing but it's compact size makes it rather sturdy. But the programming is horrible. I've had a few dozen android devices and absolutely LOVE the platform so when I saw I could pump it into my tv I got excited. But their idea of android isn't quite up to snuff. I could accept that no apps were actually built for the tv format and act up a little but this is ridiculous. Every app, even what little bloatware there is in it, keeps crashing. The rapid dialog boxes in the middle of the screen keeps me from truly emersing myself into what I'm trying to do. Plus the system itself stutters and crashes often. All in all not a good investment right now. Maybe if the tv medium catches on they'll get the programming right but so far it's just not there, not at all.So I just went thru the other reviews for this product and couldn't believe how vastly different my experience was from all the others. Then I noticed one guy mentioned his purchase was for the m8s pro l model where as mine was for the m8s pro. And when I clicked on the accompanying link to the devise in question it took me to a completely different NewPal product all together! My problems with the product I got wouldn't apply to either of the other products Amazon has connected my review to so maybe I should stop trusting ppl's reviews of other products when I'm considering a purchase. Which sucks cause I've depended on those reviews to help guide me since the beginning.I'm actually reconsidering my use of Amazon's services all together, to be quite honest. So I attached this important information to my original review so others know the beginning of it, the original post, can just be disregarded altogether, even though it was an accurate description of my experience. The android I got from NewPal was the crappiest devise I've ever dealt with and I'm convinced it was flat out defective in it's operating systems basic programming. It acted a lot like somebody rooted it then altered it's core processes' configurations then broke it's operator's root access by factory resetting it before uninstalling it's SuperUser, which is why it already had the su applets that superuser installs into the subsystems of a rooted android to gain root control it for the user to actually HAVE root control. If an android already has a superuser's su installed in it then another, or even a freshly installed version of the same one, cannot install it's own su breaking your ability to control your devices root access completely.I know this got a little technical but I've got a lot of knowledge and experience with androids and I tried rooting my NewPal box only to discover someone already had then destroyed it's core functionality. That's simply the only explanation for it's problems and my inability to reprogram the cursed thing. It's the only android I've ever not been able to gain root access and reprogram. And I've had over 20 androids, personally. That doesn't include all my friends' androids they had me root then reprogram or simply flash a replacement ROM into it for them.

Nice streaming Box.
This box runs well for streaming. Has enough storage for my needs. It does run very warm and I would have given it four stars if it had a decent remote. It is really bad. Speed is very good for its price range and the wifi works well.

Box works- remote horrible
I return my box and Got one $10 more which included two remote controls and similar android box function. The box itself worked and was pre-installed with Kodi and showbox which are 2 great movie apps. My only issue was the remote control is horrible. Essentially nonfunctional. Remote Very cheaply made. The functionality of the box I didn’t not have as much issue with. However for the price they are better options in my Opinion.

Good little box
It may be small, but works well, and with the TV Center (Kodi) was able to support my movie library. Right now I am using it for Over-The-Air TV (using HDHomeRun), SlingTV, Netflix, YouTube and all work. Before SlingTV used it for PS Vue and worked well with that as well.
