Very nice lantern. I love how light it is, will be good for camping and it works great, nice and bright and charges wonderfully in the sun. I like the optional battery charge as well. We got it in the gold color which matches according to our house decor and we like to use it in our house instead of lights too to save money on electricity. The only thing I don't like about it is the power button. You turn it on and it's first on the lantern and when you hit the button it doesn't go off, it goes straight to the flashlight setting and then the next click after that is off. SO you have to hit the button twice to turn if off from the lantern setting. Not a deal breaker though

These lanterns throw off a very bright light without being blinding. We had a power outage the other night and a single lantern provided as much light as a normal table lamp. They are compact (approx 7" when folded and about 10" when pulled upwards) and easily storable. These are attractive as well. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately these did not last. I bought two of them, and they worked for a while, but we did not use them that much, mostly bought them for emergencies, and they just stopped working. If I had used them all the time, that would make sense, but I didn't. I think its the charging factor. I just replaced them with battery operated ones that work much better.

This is a neat little light. I appreciate the design, features, and brightness...I'm just a little concerned with the construction of it. It's made of plastic...when I hold it I kind want to squeeze it because I think I can rip it apart with my bare hands. Not to say that I would do that- I actually have high hopes for the little guy, but yeah. Build quality is lacking, I can't see it lasting through too many camping trips, but at $12 I'd be happy if it lasts through my upcoming summer camping season.NOTE: the USB charger works but won't charge my cell phone. It'd charge my small portable speaker and vape pen but doesn't have enough juice to charge my iphone 5.I'll update this review after a few months of use.

We bought these for a camping trip and they worked great, it was actually a surprise how bright they were. You can use them as a flashlight but also as a table top light and you can adjust the brightness by sliding the shade up and down. It is quite small which is good when you are camping as it doesn't take up much room. It is now in the car as an emergency light since it can be charged with a cable as well. Great little light.

So when it came in the mail, my very first thought was "eek...it's so small". But never underestimate the power of small. :) It throws off more light than a lantern twice its size. It's compact, lightweight, has a flashlight as well, and a USB port. I plan on buying a few more.

If you bought this because of the idea in solar charging forget it. The change will take hours and the battery is not replaceable like AA or AAA, but the worst is the plastic cover on the solar cell has come off after a few week of use. I had to put clear taps to cover it. The brightness is not even that bright, you're better off buying an small LED MEG light than this.Pro:Idea is good.Con:Poor execution and build quality

I'm an avid camper and was looking for a light source that would be bright and multi-functional, but also lightweight and practical. I really like this lantern because it fulfills all those requirements with the perk of being solar charged. I spent two weeks on an island using it every night and leaving it in the sun during the day and it worked perfectly. -1 star as although the plastic body is lightweight it also feels a bit flimsy so I'm not sure how long it will last.
