Estes Proto X Nano R/C Quadcopter, Green

This is a tiny, but awesome quadcopter! It fits in the palm of your hand and is super easy to fly. It is surprisingly durable for it's size, but you do need to be careful not to crash it too hard. This is the second one I bought for my nephew to replace the first that finally stopped working after multiple crashes. The props will pop off periodically when crashed, but they slide right back on (as long as you can find them!). The remote is small and simple to use.The only thing that could improve this quad would be a tiny onboard camera for added fun.

It works okay for the price. It was a few days of fun until the blades were all broken. The thing flies like a rocket. Its so fast and so hard to control that it's definitely something you want to use outside. It shot from the floor to the ceiling of a gymnasium in about two seconds. This speed makes it hard to keep the blades in tact as it is constantly hitting things. Luckily because it is so lightweight, it doesn't take much damage when it falls. Buy extra blades.

I purchased the Estes Proto X Nano R/C Quadcopter, Green for my grandson for his birthday he is 11 years old. He has owned a few of these small copters but them were of the cheaper variety and lasted only for about a month before they crashed, the propellers broke or the remote failed to respond.We open up the box and the first thing that really surprised me was just how tiny this copter was easily fit in the palm of his hand and so light. We charged the batteries which were relatively charged quickly thru a USB cable and we were ready to go. I have to say my grandson was a lot better at flying it than me (must be all those video games he plays) but after 3 times I started to get the hang of it and was able to somewhat do what I wanted it to do with controlling it.Pros:• Well made after numerous crashes it is holding up great• Love the LED lights red and blue• Pretty powerful for such a little copter• Lots of fun scaring the cat and trying to land it in designated drop zones• Easy fast USB chargingCons:• You will crash crash crash in the beginning Little learning curve to it• Blades popped off but went back on. I was given 4 extra blades with the purchase (will need them)• Only lasts for about 7 minutes of flying time before it needs to be recharged• Any kind of airflow throws the copter off ( fan, central air)ConclusionMy grandson really likes the copter and flies it often and it is still in one piece. I guess that really says a lot because kids nowadays have all kinds of expensive toys that they play with for a week and get tired of. It is a fun little copter well-made and very cool looking. Yes I would recommend this product to family and friends

This is awesome once you get the hang of it. It took me one charge to figure it out. The charge lasts surprisingly long for the size- about 5-7 mins.With any rc you need to balance the trim and I think beginners don't realize that and write it off after their first few crashes. After every crash I pay attention to balance the trim using the instructions provided. It is stable within the house. Haven't tried it outside. A lot of fun to play around with and once you become comfortable to see how much you can do with it. The blades do occasionally pop off when it falls and hits the carpet (the carpet gets caught sometimes in them) but I'm glad because it won't damage the quad and you just pop them back on. Comes with an additional set in case you can't find them or something happens. Charge takes about 20 mins. I've flown it a handful of times now and have gotten better at it. I'd definitely recommend.

This quad flies great for a short while...then the troubles begin. The blades pop off when crashing into walls. Also, the protoX becomes very hard to control. An inspection of the blades reveals that they quickly grind down and have ridges. Changing blades works but for a short while... The answer is to buy blades for the Faze (red and black). They fit more snug and are thicker providing durability and control. Try them, you won't be disappointed. Then the protoX is unbeatable!

Wish I could give zero starts to the seller. Received a used and broken device. The packaging had obviously been opened and the quad opted used. Batteries, were installed in the receiver, which is not standard. The propellers were the replacements and a different color than the originals, and the extra propeller was missing from the box. The unit did not work, only one motor would spin. Extremely disappointed with this seller!! (As a side note, this would be my second of this brand and the quadcopter is a lot of fun and I was looking forward to a second for when my other quad is out of batteries.)

Excelente producto, me llego a Monterrey 2 dias antes de la entrega programada. Drone funciona muy bien. Aguanta golpes y se controla excelente, bateria dura 8 mnts en vuelo y tarda en cargar 10 a 15mnts. Recomendaria comprar protector y helices de repuesto porque solo trae 8 y cuando aprendes se ocupan hahahaha.

A lot of fun. Hard to fly, but this was my first drone so great to learn on.

My grandson said it was his best present ever.
