Broken WiFi with 140324 Firmware Update - NOT 1.8GHZ!!!
Will not connect (it never grabs an IP regardless of authentication settings) to a base station 3 feet away with the password turned off! I really wanted to like this and ordered it against my better judgement based on the very mixed reviews I read. The 1 and 2 star reviews were correct. Abysmal. It goes back tomorrow. Also: CPU is NOT 1.8GHZ it only runs at 1.42GZ per CPU-Z Resolution is really 1280x672 also per CPU-Z

This little product works great, it is slightly larger than a flash drive
This little product works great, it is slightly larger than a flash drive, easy to install and use. It beats a tablets or netbook while I have to connect and remove all the time, I just leave this one plugged in and turn off the power from the the device and the power strip which it was connected to with a click of a button, I love it

There must be a better way - Oh yeah, there is. It's called 'ANYTHING BUT THIS THING'
I've had this device awhile now and have rigged it up a number of ways, downloaded a few trial apps, etc. I'm pretty good with this kind of thing, not a genius but better than average and I have not been able to defeat its incredible levels of crappiness.Basically, it ranks right after that screwy, apple peel-y device on my all time most hated devices list.As many others have noted, the pop up keyboard app cannot be disabled by any means I've found so even with an external keyboard, you constantly have to close the onscreen keyboard. There is a device explorer app that doesn't seem to do anything and navigation with a mouse is so clunky and slow it is maddening. I get that it is an android device but between smart phones and several tablets I think I've learned what their UI's look like and this device UI is much less effective.I could make allowances if it at least loaded and streamed videos pretty well but no, streaming is just as bad as all the other features of this horrible device. Netflix fails, Amazon streaming video fails, AMC.com, NBC.com, etc. all fail to load and/or stream without massive pixelization and loss of audio sync and big pauses for loadingIt doesn't even perform well enough to use with a monitor just to do light internet work.It should work well based on the specs, maybe this particular one is a lemon, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for any purpose.Amazon Fire TV, an old Wii, Xbox, or your old laptop will all do a better job depending on your needs. Don't buy it.

nice gadget, bad WiFi
I bought this as a replacement for FAVI SmartStick. You can really feel the quad core / 2GB RAM, the device is must faster than the SmartStick but the WiFi is really poor. With the SmartStick I could get 3MB/s while this device only goes up to 800KB/s (keep in mind that it was staying in the exact same spot as the SmartStick).Otherwise, works great, has Android 4.4 so that's a plus.Oh, another minus, number of apps cannot be installed from play, I get "incompatible device" error.

Small in size, but the possilities are endless with available Android Apps
Right out of the box, this little device turns your TV into 'WebTV' when paired with a wireless keyboard & mouse - I recommend the FAVI Bluetooth keyboard and touch mouse...but that's just the beginning...with all the apps available from the Play Store, you can play Internet games among lots of other things; my favorite being the Synology DS applications that turn this nifty little device into a quality multimedia server you can use to stream recorded/ripped audio and video content from a NAS appliance without having to use a PC as the front end! With the 16G of RAM, it's able to buffer enough that you can stream 1080DPI wirelessly...with minimal skipping...720DPI was consistently good...using the included Ethernet adapter (that uses the unit's only USB port, lets you stream anything end everything! The MicroSD slot is great for showing home videos and photos as well...and it can be powered from one of your TVs USB ports eliminating the need for the included power adapter...saving yourself a plug slot on whatever you use for power management...the USB port can be used for a non-Bluetooth KB/mouse...or better yet, a USB thumb drive or external hard disk if you don't have a NAS appliance for your multimedia content. The list goes on about the versatility of this device...and for under $100 you can't beat it!

Great
Greaat product works as expected, the wifi works very good even with kodi, but you must have a very good speed, also great for games like dead trigger asphalt or gta no problem paired really fast with my Bluetooth controller also comes 16gb plus expandable memory quadcore processor its great i have this product for almost a year and still have no issues , highly recommended. If people complain is because they have a defective device.

Great gadget
This my second Rikomagic (had MK802 before). We love it. With MX player app and a video streaming app (see amazon appstore) it provides alternative to terrestial on demand. Great to watch movies and experiment. Good to share pics and your vids with friends. Not too sure about XBMC usefulness though. We use it with an air mouse to navgate. Bearing in mind it's your telly not a smart phone software, you have to click instead of tap and two finger zoom is not possible to emulate - at least I haven't found the workaround yet.
