genuine is the way to go
I always buy the genuine filter from enagic for my sd501 platinum. no black carbon water when first used , the price is great when its on sale around $100 and lasts a long time. easy to install and no fitment issues.

NOT FROM ENAGIC… they don’t sell through third parties
This is not from the Enagic company. They do not sell through third parties like Amazon. I ordered a filter last week and sent it back and got a new one and they both leaked and have tons of charcoal in them. They’re not worth it. I highly recommend going right to the company in ordering your own because they have upgraded that filter to a new one. Just my experience and I’m sharing it with anybody that’s having the same frustration.

This is a good filter. I have bought this filter in the past and was very pleased with the performance and taste of my Kangen water. I recommend this filter and this seller. I will purchase my filter from this seller when needed in the future.

BAD!!! Needed to be replaced after 3 months
I can estimate I used it 25% less daily compare to when I just got it with original filter and the original filter lasted me almost a year. But this filter lasted me less than 3 months. I do not recommend this filter to anybody. It’s a waist of money on bad filter.

Flavor? No flavor!
Not sure why Amazon would ask about flavor; a filter shouldn’t add flavor! Anyway, this was an easy and fast way to get this item instead of going through the manufacturer. It operates just the same with no distinction from the original.
