Undoubtedly the best author. Nearly every book would make a hit movie.

All three of these books were hard to set down. Wonderful writing that hooks you from the start! And the characters…. I am now a Charles Martin fan!

I knew nothing of this book prior to my reading it, except that I am a fan of the author's many novels. The story line was strong, the characters well developed, and the moral lessons drawn from the story were easily applicable to my own life. Things like; being there for your family, the higher importance of spending time, over money, in a child's life, and ultimately finding the heart and strength to forgive someone who has wronged you in the worst way.A quick read if you have a free weekend, or a good nightly read before bed. And this one....I could read again.

This collection of 3 full length novels were as different from one another as you can imagine. Each character glowed more with every chapter I read. Charles Martin is one of my favorite authors!

I haven't got the slightest idea where to even begin and like the title I wrote says wow. I have to admit that these three books are amazing. But I do believe they should come in the morning that not to jump in without you're crying towel, because the emotional roller coaster ride that you're about to go through if you decide to read these books will definitely warrant it. And in spots I hope you don't crack your funny bone laughing. And thank you Mr Martin for providing the main theme which revolves around a three letter word which I believe your readers will be able to figure it out.

I know from the first few pages of a book whether I will spend time reading it. If I am drawn to the setting, the characters and surroundings it has my attention. When I forget I am reading and feel like I am drawn into the characters lives and walking in the scenes of a movie I found a new favorite author. This story was raw with human pain, love, laughter, and the common threads of humanity no matter where we all are in life and no matter what age we are. Little Annie was a delight, I fell in love with her from the first glass of lemonade her and Reese shared on the street. The quick witted humorous and intelligent banter between strangers , a young witty small town child at a lemonade stand and a mysteriously watchful but well read loner of a man had me curious and ready to follow the story of their lives from the very beginning of their first encounter. It did not disappoint. I will miss these characters !ong after I have finished the story. I wish I could go visit their little town one day and see how life is treating everyone I met there.

Martin’s a truly gifted author. Deep Southern, rural sensibilities abound. Deep, complicated characters, all, in an epic pattern of lifetimes of events. I, for one, thank him for the hours of enjoyment and it’s contained lessons he brings me with each one.

These three books speak to the power of love and destructiveness wrought by vitriol. The protagonists are realistic and the plots compelling. I purchased a three book package, but each novel is brilliantly written. I highly recommend these novels.
