Natures Market3 x BF008S Squirrel Guard Hanging Seed Feeder Wild Bird Garden Feeding Station

I’m really pleased with this feeder, the small birds have a chance without the bigger birds pushing in. I’ve just ordered another one. I’d recommend it definitely.

I bought this to stop the Starlings in my garden from bullying the small birds and their feeder. Hasn't stopped them - in fact it's made it easier for them but it's designed to stop squirrels and the starlings never give up. Have bought a different feeder designed to keep larger birds away which seems to be working

Picture shows a squirrel who popped the lid within an hour of it first going out.He has his head down the tube full of seeds filling his belly!Went out and made sure the lid was properly secured. 5 minutes later he was back happily stuffing his face!Have secured the lid using small twists of wire and so far he is frustrated!Build quality seems OK.Will update my star rating if he finds another way in!Had to downgrade from 4 to 3 stars.Second picture shows squirrel has found he can poke his head far enough through the bars to get his head in the hole for birds to eat from. A bit of shaking and he gets a mouthful of seeds.So not actually squirrel proof!Still not entirely unsatisfied with the feeder though as it slows him down enough that the birds get to eat more seed than he does.(just) and his antics are entertaining!

If you’ve got squirrel problems, this will help. But if you’ve got jackdaws, then it won’t. They just swing on them until the seeds drop out.

I bought this in desperation…not to deter squirrels, but as a last resort to stop crows. At the moment it seems to be working. We’ll worth the money.
