URCCLIKR-5 Time Warner Cable Remote Control UR5U-8780L

We had an old Time Warner Cable remote that was dropped into a bucket of dirty mop water. We dried it out and it seemed to work "fine" except for the few times one of the batteries began to sizzle and smoke and became hotter than anything I had ever felt before and literally burned a hole in our couch upholstery. Needless to say, this remote, the CLIKR-5, is awesome, easily programmed, and works perfectly with our TWC equipment and all the other A/V components. I love this remote... great product. (Probably goes without saying, but just in case, you don't get the TWC logo on it.)

After waiting a week for my item to be even shipped. So after a week and a half to find out the buttons on the remote only work half the time. Outstanding!! Stellar quality. Pathetic is more like it. Cheap and Pathetic

Got them and only 2 of them worked. company called me after the feedback and told me they would send me a refund. The 2 that are working are doing fine. I like the lighted feature a lot for the night time.

Just like the one you got from the cable company. Works perfectly to replace the one the dog ate. Put in the batteries and point it at the TV. Buy two; the dog will strike again.

The new product was worse than my old ones

Our remote from Time Warner had worn out - and I could not summon the motivation to go to their office to get another one. So after after a night of aggravation trying to operate the TV, I got on Amazon and ordered this one - it's exactly the same as the one we had (except ours was silver). And it was well worth it. Worked perfectly with my TWC box, and Samsung TV, and Sony sound bar right out of the box. Didn't have to do any programming at all!

This remote is the perfect solution for controlling my TWC cable box with DVR and my Visio TV, Sony Blu-ray player and Denon AVR. It was easy (15 - 20 minutes) to program the remote to control all this equipment. Still need to use my Visio remote to access Netflix and Amazon Video, but otherwise the TWC remote works great!

First time I've EVER had a remote that needed no programming whatsoever so I have to give it bragging rights. All the other 8780Ls I've had certainly had to be set up first.Yes I wish it was Silver or White or some color that would permit its buttons to be more easily read but its thinner in hand than the ATLAS OCAP 5-Device Cable Remote Control 1056B03 so its the best thing I can find for a Samsung DVR with Samsung TV on the TWC system in NY.
