Excellent Product..
IMHO this is the best model to buy. It has regular mode and sensitive mode which is really all you need. The higher end models have more modes but they really don’t amount to much. This brush has a lithium ion battery... the pro 1000 does not. I charged this toothbrush when I first received it and it has lasted 13 days of sometimes 3 times a day brushing... sometimes longer than the recommended 2 minutes as well. I estimate that’s an almost 60 minute runtime! Do yourself a favor and buy this brush and leave the bells and whistles of the higher end models to those who have money to throw away.

This toothbrush does NOT hold a charge.
I have been using this toothbrush since I purchased it in March. I don't travel much so I keep it at home in the charger most of the time. When I traveled the first time, I did not take the charger since it stated it should hold a charge for 5 days. When I reached my destination (several hours in a car) that evening the toothbrush power was dead. I just chalked it up to a "perhaps it went off in the bag and wore down the charge". The second time I traveled the same thing happened. I was so annoyed and wasn't sure if I had stored it next to something that would cause the charge to disperse. Now the third trip (this time I took charger with me), same thing. This stupid toothbrush will not hold a charge! I find that ridiculous. I bought two of these and my son's toothbrush is fine. Mine is clearly defective and now I can't return it because I didn't travel enough to "test" it. I read that others had the same problem so I'll have to research and see if P&G is offering replacements.

It worked well for less than three months, then would no longer hold a charge. Called Oral B and was promised a refund. Returned toothbrush to them nearly two months ago -- no refund.

Great brush! Lets you know when you are brushing too hard and the small charging base is a nice size!!!!!!
I've had quite a few electric toothbrushes - but I have to say, this one is by far the best one I've tried. I've been using it for only a week, but it makes my teeth feel soooo clean. And to think, I've been avoiding getting this kind of brush because I thought how could one little round brush clean better than the larger brushes? Well, it does!!!!! I have been having issues with my gums receding a bit on my back molars and my dentist suggested I get an Oral-B because the other brushes might be doing more harm than good. Plus, this one has the pressure sensor, so it tells you if you are brushing to hard. Sure enough I had been. Can't say enough good things about this brush. Another feature I like is the small charging base. Some of the more expensive Oral-B brushes come with a much wider base that in my opinion would take up too much counter space. A toothbrush isn't the most glamorous thing I want sitting on my counter in the first place - so the more discreet the better.

The Pro 1500 is everything I hoped for.
I bought this as the end result of being a long-time user of disposable Oral-B 3D White electric toothbrushes, but wanting something rechargeable and more effective. I decided to try an Allegro Self-Sterilizing Sonic toothbrush because I loved the idea of a sterilizing function for the brush head. Unfortunately, I missed the mechanical action of the Dual Clean brush heads of the old Oral-B, and the Allegro brush head was awkwardly small...I kept knocking the plastic head against my teeth, which whilst vibrating was *very* uncomfortable. So, I decided to go back to Oral-B. I researched functions and features, and decided on this Pro 1500. I'm very glad I did, and am completely happy with this purchase. It has more than enough of the features I wanted (two speeds, vibration *and* mechanical action, visible pressure sensor, and timer) and none of the extraneous features of the higher end brushes that I consider pointless (Bluetooth connectivity, multiple speed settings, weirdly bulky size). I also purchased some Dual Clean replacement heads, as I think they're much more comfortable than the default round Cross Action heads.I realize that I've probably just grown and adapted to the Dual Clean head size of the original because I've been using it for so many years. None of this is to say that there's anything wrong with the Allegro; it works very well, is wonderfully self contained and travel-ready, and I hope to figure out a way to continue using the sterilizing feature with the Oral-B brush heads. But, this Pro 1500 is absolutely my choice of electric toothbrush going forward.

Great to use but horrible charging
I like the product, however from the very beginning I’ve had issues charging it. I put it on the base and leave it on all day and nothing, completely dead. The charging component makes using it impossible. Definitely needs an upgrade.

Does not hold charge
After using this product only a few months, the toothbrush does not hold a charge making it worthless

What are the odds of receiving a faulty one?
The many good reviews for this Oral-b 1500 led me to take a chance on getting a "good one".Right out of the box, a quick few second test .... runs fine.Put it on charging base, indicator light flashing, all is good. Some six hours on the charger later, nothing, nada, kaput, total fail. It simply will not turn on .... period.I will give Amazon full credit for their very prompt and helpful service getting an immediate replacement on the way.Thank you Mary, you did good.I'm not so charitable with Oral, this failure is pretty well known and documented at this point, and it seems that by now it should have been resolved.Hoping that the odds now favor me for getting one that works.
