HammakaPillow Hammock - Green and White Stripe

This is NOT the same Hammaka it was before. Appears the company has been bought out. The pillow is much smaller, the embroidered name is no longer on the product and it bleached out in the sun immediately. Very poor quality and unfortunate that they are selling under the prior name. I even called them to make sure there wasn’t a mistake and they confirmed this is being marketed as “Hammaka” but is a different product now. Shop around-over priced for the actual product and trying to ride the coat tails of a previously well made product that I had for years.

We tried out 6 (yes 6) hammocks this summer in our search for a 2 person hammock that would fit on a space saving (9 foot) stand. This was far and away the WINNER. Not only is the quality fantastic, its beautiful, water-resistant and very, very COMFORTABLE.I grew up with classic rope hammocks, so those were the first that we tried out. Unfortunately none of the 2 person rope hammocks worked with our space saving stand  Vivere UHSDO9 Double Hammock with Space-Saving Steel Stand - Tropical , we had to string the hammocks so tight that it was challenging to get on and less than relaxing trying to lay on it. We also tried out the "Brazilian" and "Costa Rican" style fabric hammocks, but ended up feeling as if we were wrapped in a cocoon. (I've heard these are great for traveling, etc, but we really wanted a hammock with the spreader-bar so that we could lay on it together, side by side.We had almost given up when I stumbled upon the Hammaka Pillow Hammock and thought we'd make it our last try... We are SO HAPPY that we did. My boyfriend is 6'1" and I'm 5'4" yet his feet don't hang over the edge and I don't feel as if I'm being swallowed up in it (and our 13 lb dog fits on together with us and still leaves a LOT of room to spare). The fabric is lovely and is holding up really well in this very rainy NY summer, it dries quickly and hasn't stained or mildewed. What else...? The built-in pillow is awesome!Bottom line is that I would recommend this hammock to ANYONE looking for a 2 person fabric hammock. From our experience trying out so many this is the ONLY one that will fit on a space saving stand without sacrificing the size or quality of the hammock itself.Feel free to ask me any questions, I'm happy to help.

The Hammock itself is great. I had one already and got this as a gift for a friend I was staying with on vacation. The one I received's box was taped up and missing the chains and s hooks required to hang it. I had to have his wife take me to a hardware store so I could purchase the missing items, as I didn't have time to send it back.

Updated 7/15/15 What a piece of junk. It further faded to an ugly brown color. This season it completely ripped open. Going right in the trash.Maybe my expectations were too high. We were replacing a Brookstone hammock. The quality isn't the same which is okay but the biggest complaint is how quickly this faded. One of the decision making points was the navy blue stripes to match my other outdoor cushions and décor. Here we are barely 2 months later and the color has faded to an ugly purple toned blue. Not as comfortable as the Brookstone one either. I regret my purchase. On a positive note, I had no issues with the transaction or the shipping and receiving of the product.

OMG the hammock is beautiful. made very well....padded which we did not know it would be. the color is beautiful. We bought it for outside and now we are thinking its to nice to go outside...LOL. I give this hammock a 10 ... Thank you Amazon

Very comfortable and seems to be durable. I got the green because of the fade problems. Ultimately, if the stripes turn brown I'll still be happy.
