The Monocle Travel Guide to Athens: The Monocle Travel Guide Series (Monocle Travel Guide, 34)

Honestly, I have not read other guidebook, so not sure how it compares to others, as usually you would want to pick the best. I went with the guy feeling, as this is not the first monocle travel guide I have used, and it certainly did not disappoint. It is intelligent, at times whimsical, but the important part is that it does not overwhelm you with information. Selection of food to eat, places to see and shop at is well curated.

You’ll need an additional travel guide for getting around, but these guides are perfect for the hip clothing store, the happening restaurant, and the cool place to stay.

Best and more current (in 2019 anyway) opverview for people visitng Athens and not just on the Monastirai-Plaka-Acropolis circuit.

Thought this guide book had very little information if any use. Did not give any hotel or restaurant prices to help gauge what wiukd be suitable for your budget. Also had very few listings for these. Would not recommend as a guide book
