More expensive, but worth it in Improved comfort and long-lasting maintenance free use.
I got this to replace an old Lafuma. I couldn't imagine summer without being able to really stretch out (I'm 6'2") and feel completely relaxed. This new one is longer and wider, with more cushioning; has an attractive, high-quality black coating. It's light enough to easily shift from one spot to another.. plus, It came fully assembled - all I had to do was lift it out of the box and it was good to go.

Worth the price
I tried this chair in a rented holiday house. It was the first time I ever fell asleep in a chair. Normally not a back sleeper, but it was very relaxing. It is not cheap, that is why I looked for good rated alternatives. I ended up sending them back. They were or too small, not padded, different zero gravity position or it was difficult to change position without holding on to something.I still think it is pricey, but do not regret the purchase. It‘s perfect for napping and a good size for my 6 feet. I hope it will last me a while.

This is a very expensive recliner but fails due to a fatal design flaw and can't be repaired.
This recliner is very comfortable but only lasted 6 months of use.I have a problem with a recliner I bought. It has failed due to an inherent design flaw. I would like support in contacted the vendor. It is a Lafuma Futura XL Air Comfort Zero Gravity Chair (Acier Black) Extra Large Padded Recliner. The seat is sewn to the frame at the top and bottom and attached to the side by rubber like plastic moldings which form a multiplicity of clips. These moldings are sewn to the seat. This arrangement greatly reduces the assembly labor compared to the lacing which represented the previous art. This brings us to the design flaw. Each of the multiple clips is defined by a sharp corner which creates a stress concentrator. This first one the several adjacent clips to fail, being ripped off the molded part. The problem is exacerbated by the molded part being sewn to the seat and the seat sewn to the frame. This makes it impossible to repair. With the previous art, all you had to do is install new lacing. That is no longer an option. The chair is rated at 310 lbs. I, at 180 lbs, am the heaviest person who sat in it.

The most comfortable and well-built chair
I bought this LaFuma XL Air Comfort zero gravity chair. I chose it in extra-large size with padding for my husband for his 65th birthday. He's not a big guy but he sure appreciates the extra room. The padding is high quality and very comfortable. He lasted about 20 minutes and he was asleep on the deck. He loves it! It folds up nicely for storage. It's very well built. I wish I had one for myself. It's not the cheapest but it's worth every penny.

comfortable and easy to store/move
It was a great decision to upgrade to the chairs with padding. Super comfortable and easy to recline, you don't feel like you're going to tip over at all.Comes already assembled in large flat boxes. They collapse easily and can be stored or moved without much trouble.Great purchase for summer months on the patio!Worried the fabric/padding may not be great to have outdoors in the winter, so we'll probably store them away.

Great for a while then broke!
This chair was the best for a while. I used it when I was pregnant and needed to put my feet up and absolutely loved it. We used it for indoors even though it's for outdoors because indoor zero gravity chairs are even more expensive so this was a reasonable solution for us. Unfortunately, after a few years of regular use, the chair cushion that is sewn on just ripped off the frame one day when I was getting up from it. I am 5'7'' and 140 lbs, pretty average size. I am so bummed my chair wasn't more durable :(

Very comfortable and nice looking chair
Like the chair a lot. Had to return the first one because of one of the footings were damaged and didn’t stay in place. Reordered same chair but it came in Navy blue. Not the black I ordered. Navy blue wasn’t even an option on Amazon website. Doesn’t match the same chair I bought for the wife which is black. I will just keep the blue. It’s a great chair and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to go the next step up and has the money.

Not as sturdy as claimed
We really liked this chair. That is, right up to after a year or so when the frame buckled and collapsed. The seated person was well within the weight limit. We have not figured out how to get the warranty honored. La Fuma referred us to "the third party seller." Whoever that is.
