High Quality
I’m 72 yrs young and use the saw for trimming apple and pear trees, and working along side spouse as we cut hardwoods for winter wood. Saw holds a strong charge, is lightweight and makes delimbing a breeze. A well balanced saw. Last; saw cut off when finger is not on trigger. A reliable safety measure.

Great Little Saw
I was impressed by how much power this thing has. It does well cutting through hardwood. Even though it only has a 14" bar, I was able to cut through logs that were 16" in diameter or so by walking it back and forth. It is perfect if you have the occasional limb down that needs cut up or if you use it for pruning. I bought it to keep in my vehicle for when we go to our cabin since we occasionally have limbs down blocking the driveway. It's always ready to go, doesn't require any messing with to get it started, and it just works. It does have the power to cut through larger hardwood but it eats batteries pretty quickly when doing so. As long as you have two other batteries, you can keep rotating them and do what you need to do. It is much much quieter than a gas powered saw and the start up is immediate. No more messing with mixing fuel and with finicky carbs. Makita does it again. I'm a fan.

Great little saw.
I was surprised at the power. I would say it handles up to a five inch diameter limb. Lightweight and I don't have to yank on a cord to start it. I'm 70 and feel confident with this chainsaw.

Great cordless saw
I've only used this saw a couole of times but I'm very impressed. It's relatively quiet and cuts extremely well. I felled and limbed a couple of 8" pine trees without any trouble.

Happy With Purchase
This chainsaw was recommended to me by my son-in-law who is a lineman in a municipality. I have no intention of cutting down large trees with it, but cutting up fallen branches, downing smaller trees, etc. I have found it to be powerful, easy to use, and dependable. The safety features are also great. I liked it so much I also bought the Makita weed whacker and blower.

Good buy!
Lighter than my STIHL 180 and cuts just as fast. Great battery life. Last longer than my back. No ear plugs required.

Great product for the right uses. This is not a gas power replacement.
I have a lake house that I maintain away from my primary home. Every now and again I'll have a significant downed limb that requires me to borrow a gas-powered chainsaw or rent one from Home Depot. I decided to buy this to have as a maintenance chainsaw for small projects. That's exactly what you will get out of this, nothing more. It has enough power to destroy dead limbs. It does not particularly enjoy taking down live trees that are any more than 4 or 5 inches in diameter. I had 6 inch down limb in my driveway that this thing went through like it was nothing. 1 charge and I nearly got through the whole thing and it wasn't small.I tried to take down a few birch trees that were in my way of a deck. They were no more than 4 or 5 inches in diameter and healthy. I struggled with this saw. It will bog down very easily on fresh wood. It also drains the batter much more quickly when it's struggling. The auto-off problem on previous models is now fixed. I didn't find myself frustrated with auto power down modes when I set it down for a few minutes. It comes with a charger and 2 batteries, but that's it. Don't expect a case or anything more.Overall, I would recommend this for the casual user who is only interested in lawn maintenance. If you have big projects....that's not what this was designed for. Get a gas model.

Great Light Duty Saw
Great electric chainsaw for small jobs. I used it in the winter to clear a small path for my tractor. It would be usable for small firewood tasks, but will not replace a gas model for heavier jobs.
