Goes on auto pilot, no true indication of O
I was excited about the potential for this product, but quickly felt like I got scammed. First, the watch asks for the days of your cycle. My cycle can be anywhere between 27-32 days. So I just put in an average at 29 days. Shouldn't this magical watch be able to figure out my cycle if it can tell me when I ovulate? Then, it started Fertile day one, then on Fertile day 2, I got a positive LH surge on my ovulation predictor kit. I also went in for ultrasound this day and had a 25mm follicle about to ovulate, and had a dip in my temperature this day. All the signs pointing to ovulation on what the watch says is Fertile Day 3 and 4.I decided not to wear the watch any longer after Fertile Day 2, and it went on auto pilot. The next day was Fertile Day 3, then Fertile Day 4, Ovulation Day 1 then 2 and do on. ALL WITHOUT ME WEARING IT. So, either the air in my bedroom is fertile and ovulating, or this watch is full of crap.I was hoping this thing would sense a true surge in chloride ions at the actual date if ovulation. For all I know, it just took my cycle of 29 days that I put in at the beginning and then spit out the typical days of fertility for a woman on that cycle length.Anyway, if it was telling me anything, I'm not sure that its anything more than I can accomplish on my own having sex during the week I should be ovulating. I can do that without spending the money and wearing an annoying watch to bed.At the very least, the manufacturer should tell the buyer they don't have to wear the watch once you get Fertile Day 1. You can just look at it on your nightstand after that point to see where you supposedly are in getting close to ovulation.I hardly ever write reviews, I just had to on this thing because I hope to save others the money, frustration and time.

Pretty Cool... When It Works
I thought I was going to LOVE this product! I was using it to double-check my Clear Blue Fertility monitor and figured this would equal conception success.First cycle worked like a charm. It seemed to correspond to both the CBFM and regular OPK sticks. I got an "Not Reading" error, though, several times but it was easily remedied by soaking the sensor for a minute or so, per the instructions. Kinda annoying and made me want to constantly run "test mode" to check to see if it works.Second cycle was a bust!!! I tried to get it started early in the day on cycle day 2. I was shocked to see a low battery indicator flashing. It had only been used for one 35-day cycle and the battery claimed to have a 6-month life. Oh well. Swapped out the battery and the low-battery icon still flashed. I put the watch "to sleep" and woke it up again. No low battery icon. But... no matter what I did for the next two days, the watch kept saying "Not Reading." I tried every tip in the manual and their website was useless for more info. Plus, this was happening over the weekend and their CSR hours are weekdays. I ended up wasting two sensors thinking that the first one was bad. Now I'm on cycle day 3 with a non-functioning watch and no sensors left. I'm very disappointed in this turn of events. This was way too expensive to fight this much with.On a positive note, the ladies who helped me at Ov-Watch were very nice but could only suggest soaking the sensors for an hour (they are brand-new!!!) and if that didn't work, sending everything back for replacement. They promised replacements before my next cycle... but who wants to wait another cycle? I needed it now and I was counting on it.So... I'm not sure how to rate this product. It worked for one cycle and then went haywire. I would have said that it were more accurate than the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor (since I'm on Clomid, the CBFM gives more "high" days than it should); but I cannot say it is better than the CBFM now b/c the CBFM is working and the Ov-Watch is not.And I'm bummed. One more cycle down the tubes.

didn't use it myself
i bought this watch to help me conceive and the week it came in the mail i found out i was pregnant!! So, i never even opened the box. I did however send it to a friend who had trouble conceiving and she used it and used it and never conceived with it. she went to a specialist and was finally able to conceive and has a lovely little one now! I would have given it 1 star...but i consider the fact that i bought it to be "lucky", so i gave it 3 stars. but really, don't waste your money...use the money to see a good specialist instead.

Effective but Tempermental
If you buy this product you MUST keep the watch in the plastic container when not in use. If you don't your sensor will dry out like mine did. Then while attempting to follow the instructions for re-wetting, part of the $30 sensor broke off. I had to open another sensor. Despite this costly setback I am happy to report that the OV watch did exactly what it claims to do, & I am now pregnant.
