LOVE THEM! Back again, for my 3rd purchase
They pad my achy feet (several orthopedic problems, and well as neuropathy). They last a LONG time, and since they are wool they don't stink even after a hot day in tennis shoes!I had six pairs, which lasted me ALMOST 18mos (being wool they will pill more easily than poly/cotton, so to make them last I periodically remove the pills with an electric clothes shaver - also purchased on Amazon...I cannot recommend it enough.)* since I only buy expensive wool socks I also pair them (fold over @ankle) before tossing in the laundry. When I sort I put all socks into a net lingerie bag, and am happy to say we haven't lost one to the Sock Monster that lives in the dryer! ;)I only came back to buy more today as I had a recent housefire and needed to replace all of my beloved socks. I have had a few foot surgeries (bunions, hammertoe) and these have been a LIFESAVER!One thing...beware, if you have other family members they will want to snag these! Even my daughter in college LOVES these, she has sweaty/stinky feet, and used to hate wearing socks. We can wear these wool socks year-round (summer a/c), as they wick away moisture, breathe and prevent her feet odor! For size reference I order medium and wear a womens 10.5 wide shoe. Daughter wears a women's 11 wide, and they fit like a glove. If they were any larger I would size up.*This handy contraption renews socks, sweaters etc., making them smooth and brand new again! Used to use the battery operated one, but to prevent wasting $ on batteries have found the electric one to be well worth the $13 I paid for it!*

Great socks, great price
When you first get them, these socks *seem* just as good as the “fancy” wool ones they sell at the running store (ie Balega) for twice the price. However, they don’t wash as well and I found that they became slightly scratchy in the sole area after multiple washes. Still a solid wool sock for the price, just don’t think you’re getting a Balega or smart wool quality product.

Absolute best Crew team purchase yet
I was looking for a cushy, warm sock my daughter could wear to her crew team (rowing) regattas. The kids all walk to and from the water/dock in their socks over sand, stones, pebbles, grass, concrete, wood & even metal or plastic. The days are usually very early & so there’s dew on the ground & docks. Then when they’re in the boats they’re strapped in to their foot rests & it’s important their feet are cushioned. On cold (& wet) days it’s also important to have warm feet. After the kids soak 1 pair, they always have extras to put on because they’ll go through a min of 2-3 in a day per race (so 4-6 with 1 race & finals, but possible to race 2-3 times plus finals in a day...and some weekends are 2-3 days. So LOTS of clean, fresh, dry, comfy socks are needed)These socks are cushioned enough the various types of ground or dock materials does not affect her, which is helpful when carrying a large & heavy boat where you cannot see the upcoming ground to avoid pitfalls or issues. The wool socks keep her feet toasty - even in wet conditions, which in Michigan also includes snow in March & April. She says they also do a great job of repelling the water, which is a big bonus. The dark colors are also helpful to hide dirt! Some of the kids are throwing away 2-3 white pairs of socks a week.I started with 2 pair to see how they’d work & Im going to stock up because they’re her new favorite for breathability, comfort, cushion, support & warmth. We seriously need 6-12+ socks per child per weekend, plus daily practices. And these are now her new favs & ones she has recommended to her entire boat & team.Could not ask for more...seriously a great purchase.

Best Socks Ever!
Seriously?? After all these are just socks....same day, little different styling. Well, that would be just wrong! I was looking for some new socks to wear with my athletic shoes. Now you might think I was a runner, jogger, sprinter; Crossfitter, Orange Theory or engaged some other exotic training regimen. Wrong again :0)).n iThe most strenuous exercise I do is exercise bike and light weights. Otherwise, I'm just an average retired female who walks her dogs (miniature dachshunds, thanks for asking :0)), grocery shops, runs errands, does laundry, cooks, gardens and, in general, am on my feet a lot. So why would I pick these ridiculously expensive (for me) socks? Well, a number of years ago I had some foot surgery for a torn ligament and that has left me with ongoing heel pain and the need for strong arch support. So I was looking (again....sigh) for a good pair of socks that might help and which would be comfortable. These caught my eye as they are labeled R and L, with the appearance of directional support for each foot woven in. They were also reported as having a cushioned heel. (Now you know I'm retired, since I have the time to carefully examine sock photos and descriptions :0)). I was skeptical, however, as they were advertised as "merino wool" and wool has always given me an allergic reaction.Once the socks arrived and I tried them on, I was instantly sold. They did in fact have right and left independent support and the heel was nicely cushioned. Although they are merino wool, they are the softest, nicest socks I own and have had no allergic reaction to them. I just ordered a second package of 3 and plan to replace all my socks with these. They are worth every penny.
