Perfect Fix
My 2022 Honda CB500X had to immediately shift out of first gear fo second and seemed the engine was revving way to high. This 16 tooth sprocket was a perfect fit and fix. Now I can actually use first gear as well as all six gears and running 65 mph the bikes RPMs are much lower and less vibration.

Installed on 2023 Honda Rebel 500 ABS SE -- Technical
If there is an award in this aftermarket sector, JT Sprockets has my nomination for best Entry Level Cruiser modification for your dollar.Case Example here for arguably the most popular motorcycle today:The Honda Rebel 300/500 have the same front/rear sprocket ratios stock of 15:40. By swapping this front sprocket with a 16 (being the tooth count), the 47 horsepower Honda Rebel 500 can take better advantage of its torque and horsepower availability across the RPM spectrum. JT Sprocket's 16 tooth swap really smooths out the gears, and not just for top speeds.Because the Rebel 500 catches max torque early on, bottom end acceleration is not compromised and first gear is usable. Then comes the real motivation to write this: Highway cruising vibrations are dampened significantly with lower RPMs in 6th gear at ~65mph. This otherwise "round town" bobber becomes a cross country machine.I managed to make the swap in 45 minutes with a lift, torque wrench, hex key set, and general mechanics wrench set/socket set (metric). The rear axle nut takes a 24mm, larger than common on the right (throttle handle) side and hex insert key to steady from spinning on the left (clutch) side.Removing the assembly to get to the chain: grab your extended socket 8mm (cover box bolting), 10mm and 14mm with torque indicator (for sprocket), mark your shifter interface, then essentially put it back on the way you took it off. I took some pictures along the way to remember how things looked. For chain tensioning: The rear adjustments can be done with the wheel lifted, locked in 1st gear, and using a 17mm socket. You can use the OEM chain, just loosen the back tensioners, bringing the rear wheel up ahead of the green ("good") indicator. The tension read will be a bit off, but most other bikes don't have this. Plus you can check slack (1-1/4" play) with a finger. Always a good time to do your maintenance while it's up there too. This will likely prolong sprocket life too with fewer repeat interactions of the same pain points on the sprocket, i.e., a 15F/40R vs 16F/40R factored over time is a significant reduction in the divisor. My only surprise is the absence of YouTube content for anyone performing this swap on a Honda Rebel before! They've done this on just about every bike, and older model 250s, but not the CMX500 (Rebel 500). This makes a real "cruiser" out of the bike and is that final piece of the puzzle I'm sure fellow owners are looking for.May I suggest this brand make note of compatibility with the HOT Rebel 500 to boost its market?Highly recommended!!!

Fits great , but tight on 2002 drz400s
2002 drz400s, fits perfect on shaft, besides being a little to big for motor have to remove case saver or grind it down and same as the plastic chain roller onto and front swingarm.

Best bike upgrade
This front sprocket fit my 2023 CB500F perfectly, although there is a chain guide/guard millimetres in front of the chain and sprocket which I felt needed some grinding to stay at a safe distance; the extra tooth makes the sprocket bigger than the original 15tooth.I cannot speak to mileage/longevity, but it fits and it makes the bike feel much more mature with longer gears; easily the best upgrade you can do to any of the Honda 500 models.

Perfect fit
Used on my 2018 CB500x. Fit perfectly. Great quality. Makes first gear much more useable and brings down the rpm’s on the freeway. Bike should come with this sprocket from Honda.

Now have usable 1st gear. Way better than stock.
Used with stock chain and rear sprocket on 2022 rebel 500 1k miles. Now comfortably get 20 mph from 1st gear. Still hauls my 240 lb. self uphills fine. Slightly less roll on power in 6th but click down to 5th and off you go . Highly recommend. May remove & grind/ clearance front sprocket case guard this winter (doesnt hit but very close). Couldn't be more pleased.
