Curt 13002 56096 Trailer Hitch and Wiring Package

We needed a hitch to haul a power scooter on our SRX Cadilac. As instruction says, connect the trailer wire first, you can reach the plug easily then. The instructions suggest running a tap in the car frame first, I ran the screws in and out this The hitch needs a little force to install. This hitch fit to the exactly with a bit of force. I loosely connected the 2 bolts holding the rear up first. Then I put the right side 2 bolts in, these went in easily. The left side was a problem. I used a large screwdriver to force the hitch towrds the front of the car to install the lower bolt first. At that point, the upper hitch bolt hole didn't quite line up as it was too high and slightly too far back. After thinking, I used a long trailer hitch in the receiver and a floor jack to align the hitch hole with the frame nut plate. The car wiring on the left frame was in the way to finish the installation. I suggest connect the center and left side first. This will give you more fighting room for the last 2 bolts. BUT the hitch may need to be pulled down for final bolts. I'm 71 and move slow, it took me 2 hours to complete. The hitch looks good, tucks under the rear nicely.

Purchased the Curt trailer hitch and wiring for a 2014 Cadillac SRX. Seems to be a quality product with an attractive finish, and good value for the money.. Would have given it 5 stars but removed one due to the difficult installation of the receiver hitch itself. The holes refused to line up without a LOT of persuasion from a small sledge hammer and an assistant. Be prepared to use force to get things into position!

Fits pretty close to perfect.Easy to install. It took me just 45 minutes from start to finish. There are just six bolts to the installation, five of the six bolt holes lined up with my vehicle frame. Hey, five bolts is good enough.

Bolted in with no issues. Wire harness plug was the correct fit. The only thing I did was cut the standard bumper cover instead of ordering the hitch cover from Cadillac for my 2013 SRX.

How could I go wrong? A name brand Hitch and Wiring Package designed for my car for $138.17 (no shipping and no sales tax). I took it to my local mechanic who charged me $86 to install everything. The Cadillac dealer gets $533 for Hitch and Wiring. Arrived on time, in perfect condition. Just as described and packed very well.

Fast installation. Went onto the car quickly and as advertised. Entire job, prep, wiring, install hitch and hitch cover took about an hour. (or 2 beers) Very easy to do. Hitch cover for Cadillac SRX is not included in this package. It is a GM part only, but easily available online through GM parts sites.
