OGXCharcoal Clarifying Shampoo for Oily and Greasy Hair, 385 ml (Pack of 1)

I was specifically looking for a shampoo and conditioner that is good for hair that quickly gets greasy, when I found this.I used it yesterday, after using 2 different top brands interchangeably for the last 5 years which started making my hair greasier quicker than usual, and feeling thicker, heavier and coated in layers of products. I also bought the conditioner from the same brand that contains keratin and argan oil, and I used that after the shampoo.These products left my hair feeling much cleaner and lighter than other products, and it was also smoother, as well as very shiny. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell lovely, too. Also, my hair still feels very clean and light and isn’t greasy, unlike when I used the previous products.I’m happy I gave this shampoo a try and I will continue using it. I recommend trying it yourself if you need a change in shampoo, like I did. I know others haven’t been so happy with it, but you don’t know unless you try, and the price at the moment is pretty reasonable, I think.I hope this review is helpful to at least one person out there!

I have trouble finding a good shampoo as I tend to have oily roots and dry ends. My traditional shampoo was leaving my hair feeling ‘sticky’ after a day or two so I decided to give this a go.Now that I’ve used it a few times (with the charcoal conditioner) I can say that it’s very good! It smells lovely, makes my hair feel super clean and hasn’t left it feeling sticky at all. People have commented that my hair looks shinier and feels soft without me prompting them.The shampoo is quite thick and it feels like I use a lot of it to lather it up, but overall I love it and will use it as my main shampoo from now on.

I was looking for a clarifying shampoo that would 'detox' my hair and give it a much needed clean from the hairstyle products buildup.This is a mid-range priced clarifying shampoo that is not too drying or harsh on the hair. The bottle looks nice in the bathroom and the smell is decent (not an overwhelming fruity/floral so it is suited for unisex use). It contains charcoal, so when you squeeze the product out, it has a translucent dark colour. I don't know how effective the charcoal actually is though.My experience using this shampoo is that it foams enough to give the hair a satisfying wash and the water runs almost clear. Don't worry about the colours staining your towels because it doesn't leave any marks. I mentioned that the smell is decent and unisex, so it is a great choice for the entire family to use. HOWEVER, if you are sensitive to perfumes, steer well clear!After washing, the hair is easy to brush and doesn't tangle as much as before. Which means less hair being pulled out.Also, read the ingredients carefully if you are looking for all natural ingredients, this ain't it but then it doesn't claim to be organic 100% natural shampoo. It just says sulfate free surfactants.9/10 washing experience -good foaming action, pleasant smell suitable for men and women7/10 price -found cheaper ones in the supermarket7/10 Clarifying performance -not sure if it is clarifying my hair. Just use it as sulfate free surfactant shampoo and you will have not a complaint.9/10 packaging -good, sturdy bottle. Looks nice in the bathroom.10/10 delivery -was prompt and also packaged securely no dent on the product upon arrival.

I have issues with my hair/scalp.. and still do but not as much since i started using this brand.I use now and again a few different ones from ogx but my 2 fav are this and the purple biotin one.This one when i wash my hair, it gets rid of the top layer of dirt/greese.. i wash again and it makes my scalp feel CLEAN ..like i can actually feel cleaness and the scent ..to me smells alot like LYNX ..not as manly like but a lush clean smell of it.. i cant explain it 🤣 ..But when i buy this i DO try to get it either on sale or at cheapest price.. it may be good but money is always tight.But since i started using ogx shampoos/conditioners.. (maybe since 2020🤔) iv not used any other!!

Ok shampoo, smells nice but not the most suitable for my hair.

I suffer with oily roots/dry ends. I wash my hair one day and as soon as i brush it on the night its oily or even if i leave brushing the next morning its oily still. I couldn’t win! Have tried endless products BUT this has worked miracles! Washed my hair on the morning, brushed it on the night and the next morning it wasn’t oily at all and after brushing and styling it still looked freshly washed. In usually have to wear my hair up the second day! Will stick with this shampoo now (haven’t tried the conditioner so cant comment on that).

I have used SLS and paraben free products for years. My hair is fine and was always on the dry side but for some reason I started to struggle with it being greasy. It looked lank and in need of a wash, even straight after washing there was a residue nothing would get rid of!Over 3 years, I have spent an absolute fortune​ trying countless shampoos and products or online remedies (I even got desperate and tried washing up liquid!) with little to no success. I loved OGX before my hair became greasy but the products all seemed to be aimed at hydrating dry hair, which was no longer any good to me, I couldn't even use conditioner on the ends any more. When I saw they had brought out a clarifying charcoal shampoo I ordered it immediately and it is amazing! It has literally restored my locks to their former glory. It can be quite drying, so I do need to use a conditioner again (I personally found the matching OGX charcoal one wasn't rich enough) but it leaves my hair squeaky clean. I now use this roughly once a week and can use my other shampoos in between, which were previously ineffective. I have normal hair again, I'm thrilled!
