Having bought my 1st TDP Lamp, I had high hopes and eagerly anticipated its delivery. A couple of weeks delivery from China. Unfortunately using it on day one didn't materialise.Mechanically it looks solid and well made, even if the side graphics are a bit cheap - just paper. Chinese instructions as usual (lazy selling into an English speaking market imho), but it's simple enough to build with just an ounce of common sense. Took about 10 minutes. Operating is a breeze as there arw inly 2 control's. 1) An ON/OFF rocker switch with a light (no brainer right) 2) A rotary knob for the mechanical timer 0 to 60 minutes. You really can't go wrong, even if you can't read Chinese.It's unfortunate that the manufacturer decided to do a 1 size fits all approach to the power cord plug. It's an EU/AU 3 pin, whereas it would have been useful to fit a UK 3 pin plug for the UK market, or supply an adapter within the price. I'll add pictures of the standard fitment and my adapter fix, which I has already, but can be bought 'cheap as chips' from Amazon, eBay, or your local supermarket.To be fair, when I messaged the supplier, they quickly offered a free adapter and English instructions.In the sales blurb it isn't clear which voltage this unit is. It mentions 220volt and 110volt. When clarified it is a 220 - 240volt designed for the UK market... again a simple sticker on the machine would have been very useful.Having sorted those wrinkles, the TDP infrared lamp works very well. The 5 star weighted base is already assembled and simply required spreading out and a 5 slot cover slipping over it. It's a very stable design when compared to several others that only offer a 4 leg base. It's well weighted too.In summary the supplier could and should resolve these simple to fix annoyances, that would really make this a less painful experience. Apart from that, a very well made and effective TDP infrared lamp. I dropped 1 star because of the faff on to get started and the missing power adapter.
