Don't buy from here. It is very difficult to specify all the correct dimensions for the shoulder washers. After meticulously combing through their tables and measuring my devices with a micrometer, I placed my order. What arrived is nowhere near what I expected. The only thing within spec was the ID. Furthermore, there's no record of what I selected on the sales receipt so I can't tell if I messed it up or they did! Too bad. It could be a great way to buy odd small parts. Back to Mcmaster-Carr for me.

These washers are hard to find in stores, but they can be quite useful. I had a specific purpose in mind for them that required general shape and dimensions specified for this washer. Unfortunately, it appears that who ever was responsible for listing shoulder washers on Amazon did not understand how to list them properly or simply made some serious mistakes. I bought two different sets of shoulder washers one with a shoulder diameter of 1.25 inches and another with a shoulder diameter of 2 inches. Well... neither were what they were supposed to be. Both had a shoulder diameter of 0.72 inches. At first, I thought it might be a mistake (as in I had been sent the wrong item), but when I realized that both washers had the same shoulder diameter, I realized that this is probably what they are all like being that not only were they the wrong shoulder diameter, but they both happen to have the exact same (although incorrect) shoulder diameter. I am pretty sure Amazon did not send me the wrong items because all of the other dimensions match up correctly, which would have been unlikely if they had simply sent the wrong items, and it would have been especially unlikely for it to happen twice. I am not sure how they messed up the listings on these because the shoulder diameter is right on the packaging of one of items. At one point, I thought I might have misunderstood the definition of a shoulder diameter, but I confirmed my definition with a little of research, and besides, there is not a single way that you could measure these that would result in a measurement of 1.25 or 2 inches on either product. I decided to make due with what I got and modified them by combining them with more common stainless steel fender washers to attain a suitable diameter for my application. I can't fault the product for not being what Amazon said it was because I am pretty sure whoever was responsible for listing them just didn't know what a shoulder diameter is, so I only took one star off my rating since they are still a good product, and I still found them to be very useful once I figured out how to work around the issue. The product is good for what it is, but just be aware that I am pretty sure Amazon has them listed incorrectly. The different sets of shoulder washers I ordered had a shoulder diameter of 0.72 inches, so I would expect all the others to be similar. From what I can see (I do not have set of calipers to verify with 100% accuracy), the other listed dimensions for these shoulder washers seem to be accurate. For reference, these are the part numbers I ordered: B00DHVCF9I , B00DHVCF9I . It is unlikely, but it possible that these were the only ones to be listed incorrectly. I can tell you rather confidently that the parts with these part numbers have been listed with the wrong shoulder diameter.

Nylon 6/6 Shoulder Washer, Off-White, Inch amazon cannot get its act together on these shoulder washers. I should have trusted other reviewers who said they received the wrong product. My washers were supposed to have a flange diameter of .625 inches and the ones I received were 1.25 inches! To top it off, they are non returnable. Ordering anything but books and movies on amazon is a waste of time. The listing B00DHVCF91 shows the right measurements and the pdf shows the correct dimensions but you get the wrong product. Beware!

We replaced a standard and (ugly) picket railing on my above ground deck with a stainless steel cable and pipe railing system. I drilled .250 inch holes in 1 1/2 inch pipe and ran the SS cable vertically through the holes tightening the cable with turn buckles. I used the shoulder washers to keep the cable from rubbing on the holes I drilled in the pipe. The fit was perfect and the washers add a high end finished look to the railing. Folks keep admiring the railing asked "who installed it" or "where I bought the kit from". Got to love it when a plan comes together and these little washers sure helped.

Looks like a well made product....but I actually ordered the wrong size for what I needed. I will have to find another use for these.

What I received was not what I wanted

The diagram shows the length of the area below the shoulder to be .205" (5.2 mm) and the shoulder to be .125”. In reality the whole length from top to bottom of the washer is .205".
