more girly than boyish
The first thing I noticed upon arrival was the bright orange color of the handle and ears. The picture shows a more gender neutral not bright orange... maybe I'll post a photo later. I have to think abotu if I will give these to my little boys as I had intended. A picture would also be good to show that aside from the face and blue section you can see, the other colors are bright yellow, bright red, and bright orange. Based on the stock photo, I thought it was green and blue. The umbrella is easy to open and the perfect size for a child. It seems to be of good quality... I'll let you know if there are any issues with it later.

I was ready to rate it 5 stars...until it broke a week later =(
My 21 month old son LOVED, I mean LOVED this umbrella. I knew he would be excited to get it. He was able to open and close it himself, it was a great size, and he played with it throughout the day, carrying it around and singing "Let's Go Fly an Umbrella" (his favorite movie is Mary Poppins). I wouldn't say he was rough with it, but he used it more as a toy than for actual use on a rainy day. It was barely a week later and I noticed it wouldn't open all the way. The "spokes" are held together in the middle by a super thin circle of wire which broke and came out of the spoke holes. I also noticed the fabric had several holes in it. I tried to rewire the spokes with a new piece of wire but it was next to impossible, and then the thin circle of wire for the lower set of spokes broke and the umbrella became a jumbled mess with spokes poking out everywhere. He cried so hard. We went to Target and bought him a grown up umbrella - it is not as nice size wise and he can't close it himself, but 3 weeks later it is still going strong.I would have loved to give this 5 stars.***Update: We ended up finding a Marvel Spiderman kids umbrella from a yard sale for $1.00. He's played with it DAILY for months now and it is in perfect condition! I saw it here on Amazon too for less than 10 dollars with shipping. A much better purchase!***

Cute umbrella for a little one
My 4 y.o. granddaughter has started wanting to open our umbrellas and play "it's raining." (We live in Southern Cal, so mostly rain is a hypothetical construct ;-).) It made me nervous for her to play with the adult umbrellas for a variety of reasons, so I ordered this for her and it's perfect. It's very cute and colorful. The ribs have plastic tips for safety. It is very easy to open and close ("I can do it myself!"). It'll probably never be used for rain around here, so I cannot speak to its ability to function on that score, though it's a nice parasol.

Good umbrella
My daughter loves this - although I think she would've loved any umbrella. It's cute with the little face and is a good child's size. It's a little difficult to open and my daughter pinched herself the first few times until she got the hang of it. It came slightly bent but not too badly and still works. Overall I think the problems we've had (the pinching, etc) is probably standard for any umbrella. Overall we're satisfied.

Sturdy
I wasn't expecting much when I bought this, but it has held up for many months. Of course I make sure my son doesn't drag it on the ground or play with it too much, but I've been pleasantly surprised that it has held up so well for so long. I also get a lot of comments about how cute it is and how cute he is when walking with it (even was stopped by a news reporter to interview him b/c he looked so cute :-)

Cute and Lovely
This is the cutes little umbrella that is the perfect size not only for a 2yr old but for a 5yr old as well.My two year old loves it and its of durable quality. It's still looking like new even though its been taking abuse from a 2yr old for 2 Months now. He loves opening it and closing it and just walking with it. If you have a child that is just dying to get an umbrella this is the one to buy.

Fun green umbrella
This umbrella is super cute and my 3 year old son loved it at first sight! Local stores have cute stuff for girls only, as for boys, only dark and boring colors. Delivery was fast. I'll recommend this prodcut :)(Please note this is not a toy as the questionare asks at the beginning of the page. Also, I can't tell how durable the product is until is wonr several times. I rated it 5 stars anyway).

Good buy
Very pretty umbrella. Not all green as I thought (has blue and orange on the back) but still cute and unisex enough for a boy. Sturdy (though the central handle bent a bit when I accidentally sat on it; we were able to straighten it out). Not small enough to be toddler-size. My petite 3 yr old cannot hold and control it by the handle, but needs to hold the shaft.
