The flavor is light. Not what I was looking for.
It wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping. And they are larger. Almost dangerously large. I was hoping for simple pieces of candy to pop in my mouth when needed. Instead, I felt as if I'd best not talk while having candy in my mouth or I could choke lol. Seeing as it's my POV, I gave 5 stars because it has nothing to do with the seller or candy itself. There was nothing wrong with either. Maybe another person would think the opposite. I think it's best I try and find candy that's smaller and wrapped individually for my convenience. Keeping some in my purse. In my desk at work. I don't want to deal with a package of sugary loose candy. Good value for the price for sure. As far as soothing. I can say yes, I guess seeing as the taste was quite mild.

Helps with dry mouth
I have used hard candy to deal with dry mouth caused by medication. More on that later. I LOVE the intensity of the flavors, especially the cherry, Apple, lemon, and raspberry. I'm sure others are just as intense, but I personally don't have experience with them. They do last quite a while if you don't chew them up. So that coating of your sour throat, dry throat and dry mouth effect of the candy does last pretty long as the candy dissolves fairly slowly. If you just suck on them without breaking them into smaller pieces, in my experience, they don't drive my sugar up much. But if you chew them up and suck on all those little pieces, you can count on both dental police and blood sugar cops to come out with a penalty of some type to treat the big bump up in your blood sugar!!Here is more detailed info on how these affect blood sugar. Now that I have been diagnosed as diabetic, my sugar levels are carefully watched. Surprisingly these DON'T make my sugar go UP over much at all if you just suck on them. If you chew them up and suck on all those small pieces (have significantly increased the surface area of the candy by making all those pieces, allowing the candy to now release a lot of sugar) my blood sugar CLIMBS RAPIDILY and drops quickly. But if you just allow the whole candy piece to slowly dissolve and coat your throat, that dry cough will get better and your dry mouth will be much better. You can deal with the dry mouth, the sore throat, and that tickleish cough!! Once it's all dissolved and gone it's affects will remain a little while. You can rinse your mouth to get the sugar coating off your teeth rinse n spit or rinse n swallow, choice is yours!!

A low octane version of a fireball
This has some of the same flavor as a Fireball but it’s much less intense but the flavor is throughout…so it only clears my sinuses a little when using as a cough drop.Still taste good and I’d buy again

Not the best value
Decent taste, but very expensive for the tiny bag.

Yummy, exactly what the pharmacist ordered
I love anything raspberry, and these hard candies don’t disappoint. On the advice of my pharmacist, dissolving a hard candy at the same time as a medicated lozenge is a workaround for the horrible taste from the RX. I had some doubts, but, one candy during dosing, and one right after, has allowed me to tolerate the therapy. I chose the flavor based on personal preference.About the candies. Well, I don’t usually have a desire for hard candies in general. I love fruit & chocolate. With that said, they’re scrumptious. The size is a little large but maybe that’s normal for the type. Flavor is excellent. Raspberry, in general, isn’t an overpowering fruit so I don’t think they lack flavor and aren’t overly sweet, just right in fact. They last about 10 minutes, and the flavor has a long lasting after taste that doesn’t fall off.The only negative is that Red Dye 40 is a listed ingredient. I’d have no issue with a clear or cloudy-white colored candy that eliminated food coloring and am slightly disappointed that a 100 year company hasn’t updated their use of artificial dyes policy. It’s not a dealbreaker, however, considering the amazing flavor.I ordered in December and they arrived fresh with a stamped 4-year “Best-By” date. The bag is a traditional paper, and though I would prefer a resealable bag, and perhaps individually wrapped candies, the ideal is “old-fashioned” - and that they’ve delivered! Living in the south, I am hoping that orders placed in warmer months arrive in the same condition, and aren’t stuck together.I plan to reorder, and based on the yummy-factor of the raspberry, might try other flavors too!
