Pretty and practical for honey or syrup
This glass honey and syrup dispenser is both beautiful and functional. The design looks great on the table, and the trigger handle makes it easy to control the flow without any mess. It’s especially nice for honey — no more sticky jars or spoons! The glass feels sturdy and the stand that holds the dispenser is a nice touch to catch any drips. I did notice that if the honey is very thick or cold, it can flow a little slowly, but typically handles fine at room temp. Overall, it’s a great addition to my kitchen and makes serving honey or syrup much easier (and cleaner).

Beautiful! It is sort of tricky to get filled, but I followed the directions I saw on another review.1) unscrew the top, obviously.2) plug the bottom with your finger.3) fill, of course.4) put the handle in, once you start twisting it to close, you will feel pressure on where your finger is, slowly move your finger out of the way as you tighten. You will lose some honey, but it isn’t a lot.5) voila. To refill it if you still have some honey in it, just plug the bottom with your finger again and twist the cap off to hold any honey left in it. Again, you’ll lose some, but it’s expected.I had no honey leakage as it was sitting in the rest, but I also did wipe the bottom after each use. Cleaning it was easy, just soak it in warm water, and swish it around to melt/loosen the honey. It’s a nice, sturdy thicker glass. The handle is about the same quality as the handles on the syrup things at a diner, just be careful to not go hulk mode on it and it’ll be fine.

Norpro Honey Syrup Dispenser
UPDATE BELOW....A very elegant honey server and it does seem less "sticky" than the stick dauber style. The resting cup and the honey reservoir are glass... the disappointing thing to me is that the rest is plastic! I was hoping for stainless steel. *sigh*.... So it will not last for long I'm afraid... but we shall see. I never hesitate to update my reviews with useful info. A tag inside suggested keeping about 1/3 of a cup of water in the resting cup to keep the honey from crystalizing at the tip of the reservoir. An interesting suggestion... I will update with news of this.... In the meantime, remember, that just because honey has crystalized, it is NOT spoiled. In fact, honey is the only food on earth that doesn't spoil. And even has some antibacterial properties. If you were in the wilderness and had a cut, you could put some raw honey on it. Heating the honey up in the micro for a few seconds breaks down the crystals if you don't like them. Personally I like a little crunchy honey with some peanut butter on toast. This dispenser is useful and I HOPE it will last for a while. If it does, I may buy another for syrup. Further... I am NOT compensated for my review in ANY way.6/27/2016.... UPDATE..... In use for several weeks... works GREAT. Doesn't leak out the bottom, drops honey at a lovely rate... honey is not crystallized, which would clog the dispense (just fyi) While I am still concerned about the the plastic pieces of the top, it seems to be working well. I will continue to update as time goes on.

This is so cute and works great! I read several reviews and the biggest complaint was the honey running out when you fill it. I found an old fashioned way to fix that. Put your finger over the hole! VOILA! It's amazing how common sense fixes common problems...like gravity. This is why we can't have nice things :-). If you are in the market for something like this, but it. Lovely little item.

Cute Idea But Maintenance Pain
This is a cute idea to display honey and to dispense into a cup to sweeten your drink or to dispense over hot cereal. However, there is no removable stopper for the hole at the bottom. When you have to fill the dispenser with honey, you have to remove the entire handle and plunger apparatus before filling. But be warned! Unless you cover the hole at the bottom with your finger before filling, the honey will LEAK EVERYWHERE creating a very sticky mess!! Also, it is a good idea to put a bit of hot water in the glass holder that you place the dispense in when not in use. This will keep the honey from drying and clogging the dispenser while you use it. It won't keep the water hot since it is not insulated, so the water cools very quickly. After using the dispenser you will have to throw out the water and clean off the dispenser thoroughly before storing for next time. I would give this five stars if there was a stopper at the bottom and I didn't have to constantly clean it. The cuteness wore off on this dispenser pretty quickly and became a maintenance pain, so now it is taking up storage in my kitchen cabinet until I can pack it off for Goodwill.
