Great protein substitute for chicken, work well with many dishes!
I use the Skallops as chicken in dishes and they absorb flavors very well. In the photos I made them as a teriyaki dish. In extra virgin olive oil, I sautéed fresh garlic, onions, red peppers, green peppers, shredded carrots, cabbage and cashews. Then added the Skallops which I had ripped up into smaller pieces. I find the texture to be better that way. I drizzled some Yoshida’s teriyaki sauce/marinade over the stir fry. Then added just a little bit of sesame oil for taste. I like adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for some heat. I also like having the (bagged) sweet kale mix salad with poppy seed dressing on the side….. just in case anybody would like to prepare this the way I did. It’s really really good! (Just be sure not to overdo it with the teriyaki because I did that the first time and it was too sweet and saucy.)I definitely recommend the Skallops. It’s fun experimenting different dishes with them! There’s enough in the can for a few meals so it’s worth the money.

Tastes like chicken
I spent an exorbitant amount on this one can because I was contemplating a 12 pack and if it was nasty, I'd rather be out $15 than $70. It was a gamble that paid off fairly well. I sauteed in some oil and curry powder for my first attempt to serve with a vegetable curry. It was very satisfying if not flavorful, much like chicken. In a pinch, like an extended power outage, I would eat it out the can, but I wouldn't recommend it.Cons: no real taste other than brine and looks kinda funky. The pieces are more square/parallelogram-shaped slabs than round like a sea scallop.Pros: the can is packed with product and relatively little brine, so subscribe and save pricing is a good value if you are in position to buy bulk. The label reads 4 servings, but easily could be stretched. I like that it's in a recyclable can rather than a plastic bag. Also since it isn't frozen, it would be easy to cut into strips for fajitas or cubes for a chicken salad or breaded and fried making this a very versatile food and low in calories.

Costs to much and cans are to small!
Atlantic natural foods needs to sell this company to someone who knows what they are doing! Cans are all smaller then when Loma Linda and Worthington owned it. They jacked the price up and made the portions smaller and changed the recipe on many of the products. They screwed up a good thing! The little tiny baby food Cans came dented!
