Great gardening tool!
This is a really handy garden tool! It is lightweight, PLENTY sharp, and easy to re- sharpen. I really like using it because it makes quick, convenient work of removing old leaves or grass if you don't like hauling out a weed trimmer or if you just prefer to do it by hand. In fact, I like mine so much that I ordered a replacement when I misplaced the original one. Maybe one day the older one will turn up, and I'll have two!

Wow! Works so well!
You can clear grasses and weeds easily without digging up clumps. Just scrape it on the surface of the soil and slightly under. Fast. Efficient. Gets the job done! Time and effort saver!

It's like the extension of my arm and hand in the garden
I use it for what the tool seems to have been made for, scraping under the grass that grows where it shouldn't, like along the edge of a flower garden, and it does a super job. But aside from that its' point knocked into the ground will loosen the soil around the roots of tougher things. I was just digging out hundreds of small oak trees that popped up since last years bumper crop in my mulched area. They already had taproots that were 4" long and were ready to stick in the soil forever. I have pulled up the edges of pebbles and rocks with it, reached way back under plants to pull weeds and vines forward, so I could cut them. Pulled up the edge of paving stones that were hard to pick up any other way. Well I have been using it for almost any and everything in the garden and it's sturdy and solid. I do treat it well, and clean it off when I'm done, and have got a small Japanese rust remover stone I go over it with occasionally keeps it smooth and rust free. I love this tool and no-one beats the Japanese for useful, well thought out gardening tools. This tool is one of the most useful things I own for gardening.

Impressed, so far.
My yard consists of crushed rock over nearly rock-hard sand/clay soil. But weeds still manage to grow there, and some of them manage to anchor themselves really deeply and solidly. The Tomerry Weeding Sickle arrived sharp enough to slice the box it was shipped in. I don't know if it was sharp enough to cut a flexible plant or how long it will retain an edge in the conditions I'm exposing it to, but I'm not too concerned about that because the rocks make cutting the roots pretty much impossible anyway. But it does work quite well at digging them out and the handle length is a great help. It's pointy enough to penetrate more easily than any other tools I've tried, and sturdy enough to allow me to draw it through the rocks and soil to pull the weeds out. That's pretty much all I was hoping for.I'm holding back one star because there was one tough root that was not protected by rocks and I was hoping the tool would cut it, but it could not.

My favorite hoe
This little hoe works so well for weeding. I love how it easily moves around the plant and how it can be used for quick weeding. The point can be used to dig up deeper roots of weeds.I don't think it would work well for longer weeding because one has to bend down but for a quick weed here and there, it's perfect.

A gardener’s dream
The best tool to use around plants. No other tool compares to this one; I wish I had found it years ago.
