Love these brackets
I like these brackets very much. They were placed in a simple drywall box but we turned the brackets sideways, in order to screw them into the studs at either side of the opening. The color is a light simple gray, and go well with the gray boards and gray paint of the walls, and give it a substantial modern look. They adjust to the thickness of your boards or glass. they will hold books, decor etc safely. I have space in a deeper box, where the contractor already added a shelf, and plan to add another shelf with these brackets.

Definitely matte silver
The pictures look like the pieces have a chrome or metallic finish, but they are definitely a matte silver, which is quite ugly in my opinion.That being said, these are the perfect hardware for hanging thick shelves (up to 1.5'') and I have not been able to find anything else handling even close to that thickness. I am going to attempt to paint these chrome to match the rest of the bathroom hardware.

Can't give it 5-stars because I was expecting the item in the lower pictures. I already had a set and was trying to match them. You barely notice that one shelf is close to flush and my other shelf has the 1/2 inch square at the top. Great shelves.The included drywall anchors were not as secure enough for me to be comfortable. Purchased molly bolts for extremely secure fit holding up a glass shelf.

Really high quality brackets. We are using three to hold up a 4'x1' shelf with a good amount of stuff on it. It is very sturdy. Just remember to screw them into studs, especially if you are going to be putting a lot of weight on top.

Strong Brackets
I purchased these brackets to hold a 1-1/2" thick, 36" long and 10" deep solid wood shelf in my bathroom. These create the perfect floating shelf look with all the strength needed to hold just heavy shelves. I would highly recommend these for any floating shelf needs.

These brackets are amazing
I love these brackets. The ones that came with the glass shelves broke. I ordered these because I liked the straight line design. They are sturdy and very heavy duty. Even my builder commented on how nice they were.

The anchors to attach this to the wall was horrible. They continuously pushed into the wall as the screw went in. I had to buy new anchors. But in the end, I was happy with the overall look. I only gave it a three star because it was very difficult to install with the included hardware.

The Good.These are nice Heavy Duty Brackets that are easy to Install.The Bad.None.The Ugly.These are not SILVER Colored more like a Dull Gray.I ended Up Painting them White to Match the Wall.
