Hazet Socket Wrench Set Made in Germany, 953HP

This socket set oozes quality. Parts are not fully mirror polished as some other manufacturers' offerings but the fantastically tight tolerances and the general handling feel indicates that these tools should last for a lifetime, and considering the availability of repair kits, possibly beyond. The 1/2" ratchet is the fine-toothed variant, allowing for small turning angle to work in tight places, claiming to handle torque figures of up to 1000 Nm which is very impressive. The small ratchet is probably smaller than you think but it also has a fine tooth drive, and claiming 120 Nm which is probably way more than you can do, given the length of the handle. The foam insert is much better than the plastic moulds, nothing rattles in the box and nothing gets displaced when turning it upside down. I like the overlap in the socket size ranges, size 10 to 13 is available in both 1/2" and 1/4". I wish they added a 5.5 socket though, one I had to buy separately and now I can't keep that bit with the rest.It is a brilliant set of quality tools, highly recommended if you're looking to get a set that will serve you for a very long time.It is also worth noting that on the first delivery Amazon shipped me a used set with obvious usage marks and a wobbly 1/2" ratchet. This was promptly rectified with a replacement set which is perfect.

Box and case and receipt said it was the HP set, but when I opened the box and looked closely, the ratchets were replaced with the SP models. Check the contents carefully if you have paid for the high-strength fine-teeth set.

Arrived dented and damaged upon arrival - makes me question the quality if so easily damaged.Set seems sturdy but doesn’t seem to be the premium product Hazet is known for.
