Goldilocks and the Three Bears (First Favourite Tales)

Lovely story and beautiful illustrations, perfect to read to my 2 year old. Was put off by the bad reviews but glad I still tried it because it is really nicely written and is just the simple normal story. I've added photos so you can see yourself. Not quite sure what people mean by it being a modernised version. Will be buying some more books in this range!

My son loves the story and pictures. I find it a bit dissatisfying as it switches from non rhyming to rhyming text and doesn't use the classic lines like 'who's been sleeping in my bed' etc. It says 'someone's been sleeping in my bed'.

Book arrived well packaged and in excellent condition.The book is a perfect size for older toddler sized hands - with friendly character illustrations and the language isn't too complex or confusing. Lots of appropriate rhyme and humour.My only criticism is that the story says that the baby bear has a tiny small voice that Goldilocks can hardly hear, yet this was the voice that wakes her from her sleep, not the booming voice of the Daddy.Would recommend and will be looking at the other titles in the series.

My class are obsessed with goldilocks and this book was perfect! It has started to Teach them new things like 'big, middle and small' and loud and quiet while entertaining them. The illustrations are beautiful as well.
