Benro BV6 Video Camera Tripod
We've been researching a new Tripod for maybe 2 years now. We needed something more than just a Video Camera stand. We required stability, durability and flexibility. We've run the gamut from cheap to expensive. From Ravelli AVTP Professional 75mm Video Camera Tripod with Fluid Drag Head to Sachtler System FSB 8 Fluid Head with Sideload Plate, Flowtech 75 Carbon Fiber Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader and Rubber Feet. Makes the head spin. How do you know without on hands experience? We rely, like everyone else on the experiences of others.Which brings us to this Benro BV6 Video Tripod. For us, we needed most of all a bang for the buck Video Tripod. The Reviews from other Professionals helped immensely. Furthermore, we use 5 Video Cameras with our ATEM Video Switch. Buying 4 or 5 Tripods changes things greatly. The overall weight is good. The Capacity - We can house a Canon G40 + Decimator MD-HX converter mounted or a Canon XA35 or Canon XA15 + LANC Remote or even the new Canon XF705. And we still have space for a motorized Gimbal by weight. Heavy Duty but not too heavy! The Benro BV6 takes some getting use to after having using cheap Tripod Legs. Smoother action. Different controls for action. Have shot with a Canon XA15 at full optical zoom chasing Hummingbirds. Nice, smooth action. Time will tell but we think this will stand up to the rigors of moving gear repeatedly. And the Leveling LED is a great addition to details. We've also added Kessler Kwik Release Receivers to expedite setup and take down.Remember to Register for Warranty with Benro and wait for the opportunities! After using this Tripod for 4 months, we now own two of the Benro BV6 Video Tripods. Pleasantly surprised. We hope this helps other who are considering a new Video Tripod. Your results may vary.

Best Tripod I have ever used!
I have worked in TV News for over 14 years.. I purchased this tripod for my own personal camera and projects. I have to say this is the best tripod I have ever used in my entire career of news. I have worked in major markets with big money and expensive tripods, this tripod beats them all! It is a little heavier than most tripods i have used but maybe only 25% heavier. With that added weight comes unmatched quality and a sturdy feel. Im using it with a Canon EOS c100 mark 2 DSLR camera which weighs around 5 pounds. The tripod says it can hold way more weight which is great for me if i want to add a jib. I would HIGHLY recommend this tripod to anyone who wants to put their expensive equipment on something reliable! Remember your tripod is one of the most important investments! The legs never slide, the ball head is easy to adjust in a pinch and the fluid movement is as smooth as glass. Great investment!

Sturdy and smooth
Way better than I expected! I've used some very expensive tripods and this one does such a good job. Good build quality and super smooth. I use it with a fully rigged out blackmagic pocket camera setup.

Best Tripods on the Planet
Have I tried all of them, no, no, I have not. But I have tried several and filmed with other setups. This is the best one I have ever used. I have owned 3 of these. They are so good, others in my business have copied my setup dozens and dozens of times, camera, tripod, trigger, field monitor. When you lead the pack, you have to use the best. There is simply no beating this tripod unless you are talking about another Benro Tripod!

If you're trying to decide between this and Benro's S series, get this!
I first tried the Benro S7, and I was extremely disappointed. It was actually a friction based head even though they advertise it as a fluid head. The BV6 is head and shoulders over the S7, the fluid head is flawless and the legs/spreader are pro level. The only downside of the tripod is that the 504PLong plate used to attach to your camera is plastic and doesn't glide into the quick release base as easy as a metal one does. I was able to solve that easily since I had a metal one laying around. Don't get me wrong, the plastic one that it comes with is plenty sturdy and will hold anything you need it, it just doesn't slide into place as easy.

Not as I expected.
I expected more for this much money. Although the unit is very heavy, I find it still feels quite cheap. The range of effect from the three force adjustments on the head is quite limited. The counterbalance adjustment is especially disappointing. The plastics all feel cheap. The flat foot covers are incredibly hard to remove and the rubber feels like it's going to rip.

Four Stars
Nice but I was surprised the bubble is not illuminated as in my cheaper S8 Benro.

Would buy again.
Solid tripod. Smooth, easy to use, and I can trust it with my gear. I agree with every positive review you see here.
