The old SAE connector was corded and hung from the motorcycle like an awkward umbilical cord. This flush mount option is fantastic if you have the space. And you won’t need much space. I wired two motorcycles with this plug today in under an hour. Now I just plug into the port to charge the battery and since all my accessories are SAE to USB it’s as easy as plugging into the port. The port flush mounted very well with minimal cutting of the surface. The included screws are high quality. Highly recommended.

The only issue with the product is that you cannot rely on the wire colours as they DO NOT correspond to polarity of the wires: make sure that you test the polarity of your wiring as you assemble the system so that it is not connected incorrectly to the charge controller based on colour. Aside from the point above, I will readily use this product for more projects as it is excellent quality.

Bought to add to my home built centre console fishing boat to give dedicated 12V connection points for a removable all around light and for a quick connect option for a trickle charger at the helm (as a centre console, the all-around light mounts on it only when needed for nighttime running or anchoring).Decent quality, only gripe is the leads aren't tinned, which I expect for a marine rated unit. Not a huge issue on my mounting as salt exposure will be minimal, but a concern if used in a more exposed location.

The plastic cap isn't durable and has broken off. Causing the ports to be exposed to the elements. I have only used it a handful of times and the cap immediately broke off. Poor quality.Works though.

Used the plug installed in my generator to be able to trickle charge the battery during the winter and when I don't use the generator for a while. looks professional and works great. Cover keeps plug clean and dry.
