I inherited very frizzy hair from my mom, but I'm not a fan of hairspray in general due to the odor and sticky texture. A family member who is a hairdresser strongly recommended this product. I am very impressed, very little odor and what there is is not offensive. Hair holds quite nicely without feeling gummy or sticky to the touch. I've also been using the conditioner from the same brand and likewise very happy with it. Highly recommend!

I wanted to return this product but the closing date was June 10 and today is June 15. I have used this hairspray for years, but I had the old one and just finished it on Thursday and it is not the same. It has a terrible smell and it leaves my hair, stiff and sticky. Very disappointed I feel that the product has changed and I would like to return it but I’m four days short of the return date.

Unfortunately my hair has changed with aging. My once full thick locks are now fine and thinning. I asked my stylist what she would recommend that didn't contain alcohol or other drying agents. She recommended Aquage Finishing Spray Ultra-firm Hold. I've found it doesn't leave a flaky residue. There is no build up and feels light yet holds my style.I'VE CHANGED THIS REVIEW FROM A FIVE START TO A ONE STAR.This hair spray is worth the money but if the can is defective you've wasted your money. Since my initial review I have to warn you....BUYER BEWARE! I've sent a couple of emails to the company and told them I like their product but they need to put their research and development team on this problem. I went so far as to tell them that I would be willing to pay to have my nearly full defective cans shipped without obligation to me for postage or reimbursement for lost product just so they can figure out why their cans go defective after only a few uses. Haven't heard back from them so now it's time to tell you what I wrote and let you decide if this is something you want to waste your money on. (No, it is not a clogged nozzle. Read below for more information.) Now some of you may think that I am foolish to have had a total of three bad cans of spray and yet purchase my fourth one but I was naive and thought it was the luck of the draw but I've learned my lesson.....fourth and final! Here is a portion of the email I sent to the company.Customer Service or Research and Development,Aquage Finishing Spray Ultra-Firm Hold is the best product I have found but unfortunately it is packaged with the worst nozzle or propellant dispenser. Over the past several years I had one can that I could not get to spray. That can was returned to my hair salon and they replaced it without a problem. I had another can with the same problem. I felt bad for my salon owner so I didn't say anything and pitched the can and absorbed the cost. I then started ordering this through Amazon so I can't return these defective cans to my salon.Recently I had another can do the same thing. I thought this can't be happening again but thought I'd give Aquage one last try and ......you guessed it....the darn can wouldn't spray. So here I am with two cans that are over three fourths full and I can't get a single bit of spray from either. I will never purchase another can of Aquage.I am not asking for a refund. In fact, I'll go you one better. I'll send the two cans to you for your research and development department to take a look and see what can be done to improve the push button sprayer or the propellant. Just so you know I had taken a good spray nozzle from an Aquage can and tried it on one of the defective cans but that did not work. I also have taken to rinsing the nozzle and drying it thinking that perhaps the opening was clogged. That didn't work either.So I now have in my possession two defective cans of spray that are both close to being full. I don't want them. I won't purchase again but will be glad to give you an opportunity to look at these cans and see what the heck is wrong with the nozzle and or propellant. You've lost this customer and if some improvement isn't made to dispensing of this product you will lose more customers.Who should I send these to the attention of? This has been my absolute favorite, finishing spray for years. It’s light it has significant hold.

I love this stuff but did they change the ingredients? It doesn't smell the same and it holds a bit less than the last one I bought.

I love this Hairspray and have been using it for years. It is great for hold & humidity. The following is not a reflection on the seller, but on Aquage. The 25% more cans get 1/2 way and freeze up and no longer spray. It is not the nozzle plugging up. The can stops working. Consider this before purchasing. **Also, make sure you receive salon approved product, I have been sent FAKE aquage. You will notice immediately as can will have hazardous warnings on can and secondary language.

Hold is good, but Aquage must’ve changed the scent formula for their hairspray. I’m super bummed. 🫤 The original scent is THE reason I loved their products so much. Now it’s just overpriced hairspray that I can buy off the shelf.
