NavePoint NavePoint Rack Mount Drawer for 19-Inch Server Cabinet Case Or DJ with Lock and Key 3U Black

I built my custom desk and installed server racks in the legs, this drawer was a great addition to my build. Very convenient to keep things close and tidy than our on my desk all the time. The drawers are smooth, lock works amazing and it was delivered on time with no damages. Worth the purchase.

I am a guitarist and use it in my 9 space rack along with my wireless IEM and guitar systems and Furman power conditioner. This drawer holds mic and guitar cables, guitar accessories, bunch of stuff that I used to carry in another bag or in my guitar case. This case is awesome! Very solid and rolls in and out easily. Lock is simple and works well to keep the drawer from opening during transport (I leave the key in the lock since my case has a cover/protection).This thing was much better than I expected and we play 25-30 shows a year so it has been used many times and turned on its side in the rolling SKB case at least 50 times. Never an issue except make sure cables are out of the way of the lock, and if in a case, make sure drawer is shut before cramming stuff in the back of the case!My only concern...I put too much stuff in it and now it is a little heavy. But I highly recommend and this comes from someone who spends countless hours on research for stuff like this.

This is my fifth purchase of a server rack drawer from NavePoint and definitely not my last. I've also purchased several of their other products including sliding rack-mount shelves and stationary rack-mount shelves. I'm a sucker for rack rails and cabinets because they keep everything nice and organized. I have them in my home office, garage, workshop and my main office in NYC. NavePoint consistently delivers an extremely well made product and at extremely competitive prices.The drawers roll smoothly as they open and close, never getting bound up. They stay straight and true over the years and the locking mechanisms glide like the day they were made. I've had to use graphite on some of my units from other companies but I've not yet had any problems with NavePoint products.My one gripe (and it's a small one) is that all of the locks that they use on their various drawers are keyed the same way - meaning the key from the drawer I purchased last week will open a drawer I purchased last year. This is both a blessing and a headache all at the same time. It's convenient not having to sort through a zillion keys to open a drawer that holds XLR cable; however, if you want to secure anything more valuable than that, then you'd have to go buy a new cylinder. Again, most of what I keep in these drawers isn't exactly lock-worthy so it hasn't been a huge deal for me but it may be for you.At the end of the day, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
