Heater element in my Samsung dryer died on me late Saturday night. Diag was super simple, I had this new element within 2 days. Samsung wants about 5x the cost of this for OEM, so I was willing to roll the dice on this. Has been drying my clothes perfectly for the last week.Note you'll probably want to run a quick 'burn in' cycle as this will product a bit of an odor after initial use. Pretty common for heating elements. Only took maybe 10 minutes for the smell to dissipate.

This is the second time I ordered this item. The first one lasted a year and a half. The current one is working very well. A YouTube video on removing the old one and installing the new one was fairly simple.

So this came with everything I needed, even though I did not know I needed it! It turns out that there are 4 temperature sensors, the 2 that are attached to this unit and then the other 2 go on the blower. The other 2 had really confused me at first.The error code on your dryer might not tell you which sensor is bad, that was the case for me. In the end I probably only needed one of the blower temperature sensors. However, replacing them all was a far simpler solution. Furthermore buying them one by one to try would have taken time and cost more than this package deal.I had considered getting a pack with all the sensors and the heating element but not the metal casing. It turns out the metal casing on my original unit was welded together, so I would not have been able to replace the heating element (without tons of work). This product has the metal casing screwed together, so if you do ever need to replace the heating element in the future you can do so.I am taking off 1 star because 1 of the connections was bent on 1 of the sensors, it was completely flattened to the sensor, making it unusable. Not a big deal if I can bend it back, however, the sensor broke free from the casing at the weld points when I bent the connection back. I could have welded it back on or secured it with zip ties. I chose to secure it with zip ties because this area gets really hot, and I was not sure of the thermal properties of my solder. We will see how that goes...

I’ve had my Samsung dryer for a while now, and while it has been great, there is one recurring issue. Every 6 months, the heating element goes out, which is frustrating, but thankfully, it’s an easy fix. All I need to do is purchase a new heating element and install it myself. It's very simple to install, and I usually just watch a quick YouTube video to guide me through the process. Once the heating element is replaced, the dryer works perfectly again.This fix saves me so much time and money, as I no longer have to go to the laundromat. Buying a replacement heating element is much cheaper than hiring a professional to repair and install it, which would cost even more. Overall, despite this minor inconvenience, I still think this device is definitely worth purchasing. It's a great product that has served me well, and it’s really worth it, especially considering the savings on repairs!

Giving it 3 stars for now…: I bought the same part2 months ago and it failed in less then 60 days. (Previous part lasted over 2 years). It took me forever to install & I had to do a bunch of extra steps. Amazon was nice enough to issue me a credit to purchase another one and it came today. This time the part practically installed itself. No special steps, no fighting. It literally slipped in like it was supposed to. Dryer is working again. I feel that the wrong element was shipped last time. Nothing lined up, I had to basically dismantle the entire dryer. Fingers crossed I did the right thing by giving the company a 2nd chance.

UPDATE: Awesome Customer Service! They contacted me and issued a refund…we repurchased and will see how long this one lasts…Only worked for 8 months and went out again…

I bought this part in June of 2024, and it worked well - no complaints - until March of 2025. Now It quit working and needs to be replaced. I'm going to see if I can find one that lasts longer than 10 months, even if I have to spend a little more. I still prefer to replace this part than to purchase a new dryer.
