Lipper International 1024 Acacia 2-Tier Tree Bark Server for Meats, Cheeses, and Crackers

Just received it. Haven't tried assembling it as it's a present. Was just disappointed by the big stamp that says made in Thailand. Makes sure whoever receives it this is some cheap crap from Asia and nothing close to handmade. For the price it's very disappointing.

I got a deal on mine because it was a return with a " cracked twig " as other reviewers have stated. I kept it and repaired the damage. Put it together gently, with no power tools and you will be satisfied. I am giving this 5 stars because I believe the Product is of great quality and the manufacturer can not be responsible for how much torque is applied to a thin piece of delicate wood.

I really wanted to love this piece and the serving plates themselves are lovely, but the piece of "bark" that holds them together is an absolute nightmare. For starters every time you touch it the material starts to crumble creating an awful mess. That in it of itself could have been overcome were it not for the impossible assembly procedure. You are given two screws and an allen key, but as other buyers have mentioned screwing into the supporting "bark" is next to impossible because it is curved and the holes have not been pre-drilled. Using a drill is not very effective either unless you have tools to clamp down both pieces, which I did not. I couldn't even disassemble the partly attached arm owing to these difficulties. Simply providing an allen key and asking people to put it together with just that one tool is laughable. Have returned and really wished the manufacturers had pre-drilled holes with anchors.

Presently will be using it as a Centerpiece to place my Christmas Gnomes on it and also using it as a meat and cheese board. Will have many uses for it but mostly will be my kitchen table centerpiece for 2 dimensional flowers or other decorations.

The cake stand is beautiful but had to repair it by binding wire around the stick to hold it together and glueing it!!! Didn’t even get it assembled and the wood cracked due to it being a very thin stick between the 2 layers. Now I have to be very careful with what I put on it almost useless. Can’t be bothered with return wouldn’t be getting any better of a product.
