Sturdy, practical, no-frills
Well-made, solid construction, should hold up to heavy use. Good cases for smaller laptops are no longer easy to find, and this fits an IBM or Lenovo Thinkpad well. Includes shoulder strap and zipper pocket, padded construction, but no inside accommodation for small accessories.

Did some research on this laptop before you buy it ...
Did some research on this laptop before you buy it. I did not for this reason. I found it on the Targus website and the interior laptop pocket is 38.1 x 3.3 x 26.7cm.My Asus ROG G751J is a 17.3 inch screen... 43.9cm.So it wouldn't fit.I am putting this info up for anyone who needs it. The UK amazon mentions this problem, but I figured I would mirror it here.Technically speaking, not really sure how it would fit an 18 inch laptop at all...

The quality is good and the advertising of the product is very accurate
This product is outstanding. The quality is good and the advertising of the product is very accurate. It is always confusing to read other reviews particularly when they give a poor rating due to their not reading about the product before purchasing it. For example one star because their laptop would not fit... for heaven sakes do they not read the product details outlining measurements etc?I am on the move a lot being a musician and I like to record on my iPad. I use this product to carry my iPad Pro 12.5” which incidentally is in its own leather case. This fits nicely and with a little room down the sides for a pencil case or something similar. I also keep my itrack solo interface in this bag along with a 10” x 6” case which contains the necessary leads for my iPad Pro and recording equipment. With all of this in I still have some room for paperwork perhaps a book too. There is room in the small front pocket for other items such as a mouse but then I don’t need one. However, it is in this area that my itrack solo interface lives with a portable standard size microphone 7” long and connecting leads too.In all my five star rating is based on the product meeting my requirements with a lovely finish all round. This is for a laptop to around 13” so don’t expect to get a 15” in it.Great product

Apart from that its a nice bag.
It ok but if you're intending to put you're Alienware in it then make sure you hold it by the handle and not the shoulder strap.... Ive dropped mine twice and have been very lucky that it survived. The shoulder strap has plastic clip that isn't suitable for caring the weight and size of laptop that can go in it. Ive least my lesson with it and i won't be trusting the shoulder strap again until I sew the strap directly onto the bag........ Apart from that its a nice bag.

Excellent case, but check laptop size for proper fit.
I ordered this case by mistake! But in the end it was a blessing in disguise. I wanted a carrying case for my new 13.3" HP Pavilion laptop and came across the Targus brand, and which is available in several sizes, including one for up to 13.4" models. Unfortunately, or so I thought at the time, I placed my order by clicking the item in my browsing list, but by doing so I clicked on the image for this model, but which is said to be for laptops up to 14.3" screen size. I did not change my order, which turned out to be a wise decision. The case is well made with a comfortable padded carrying handle and houses the laptop in a secondary pouch within its main body, and this is further secured by a velcro strap. The outer pocket has provision for various bits and bobs such as pens, paper notepad, mouse and power supply, which with the Pavilion is remarkably small. All in all, it is a well made bag and IMO justifies its moderate price, although as you will see below, getting the right size for your laptop, could be a little hit and miss. Now this is where the actual dimension of the laptop, rather than screen size, is important with this case. Although said to be suitable for up to 14.1" laptops, the inner containing pouch only just accommodates the Pavilion. The crucial dimension is the width, so as long as your laptop is no wider than 33cm it will fit. This makes me wonder that had I actually bought the model for a 13.3" screen, (actually Targus indicate this model as suitable for 12" to 13.4" laptops) it would have been too small for an HP Pavilion.

Targus Classic Clamshell Laptop Bag/Case fits 13.3" Toshiba Chromebook
Over the past few months I had seriously been considering the purchase of Toshiba’s latest CB30-B-104 Chromebook 2 laptop, primarily due to the overwhelming number of positive reviews written by satisfied owners. It has a genuinely stunning Full HD (1920 x 1080p) 13.3" TruBrite® TFT High Brightness display with LED back-lighting & 16:9 aspect ratio, combined with a more than adequate 4 GB of DDR3L RAM (1600 MHz). The vivid IPS (In-plane switching) screen of Toshiba’s beautiful HD Chromebook 2 is ‘pin-sharp’ and imho also a joy to behold when viewed from any angle. What’s perhaps even more surprising though is the sheer volume of clear undistorted high quality audio reproduction emanating from this diminutive device. I still haven’t figured out where all the sound actually comes from, because there is no sign whatsoever of a grille-opening to be seen anywhere, either on the underside of the Chromebook or the top or side of its chassis.Clearly a well-deserved ‘pat-on-the-back’ must surely go to the talented team at SkullCandy responsible for ‘tuning’ these stereo speakers. Trust me, you simply won’t believe your ears until you hear one of these Chromebooks for yourself !While searching Amazon.co.uk's website, I discovered this inexpensive but smart-looking Targus 13.3" Classic Clamshell Laptop Case with which to protect my new acquisition. On a number of prior occasions I’ve purchased cases manufactured by this brand and have always found them to be well constructed and excellent value for money. Before placing a final order though, buyers should take note (as others have said) that the clip at each end of the adjustable shoulder-strap is made from strong plastic, as are the two D-shaped fixing points riveted onto both respective sides of the case.I imagine that when carrying this case over their shoulder, consumers might have felt a greater sense of reassurance if metal parts (which I would have preferred) had been employed for both the strap clips and the D-shape attachments. I'm thoroughly convinced they would prove much stronger in the long run, thus explaining my reduced rating to only 4-stars.On the other hand however, Toshiba's Chromebook weighs so little (1.35kg) that this may not necessarily prove to be a major problem. Thankfully I had the foresight to retain a number of surplus straps (manufactured with metal fittings) that I kept from older/redundant cases, which neatly avoids the issue !As previous reviewers have also mentioned, when their Toshiba Chromebook has been secured by the internal velcro strap of this 13.3" Targus case, there still seems to be a fair amount of empty interior space remaining. What’s really required in this instance is a piece of 19mm (¾") thick foam cut-to-size, which could then be inserted to fill the base section of the case. There are numerous specialized on-line mail order companies (not forgetting local suppliers or furniture shops in your area) who can cut this material to your exact requirements, doing so reasonably cheaply in my experience. The four zips of the Targus case reassuringly feel far more substantial than is often typical nowadays and the external section at the front of this case is divided into three individual compartments, suitable for storing items such as Smartphones/calculators, mains power adaptors/leads, mice, notepads and/or various sundry items such as pens/pencils etc (see 1st attached photo) ! FYI the interior measurements of this Targus Classic Clamshell Laptop case are 34.5cm / 13½" wide x 24.8cm / 9¾" high.I wasn’t entirely satisfied as matters stood, so I took the sensible precaution of investing in a separate grey 13.3 inch ‘CushCase Canvas Waterproof Sleeve Cover’ (please see 2nd attached photo), the interior of which is made from an amazing Ultra Soft Fleece Liner material. With the Toshiba safely tucked away inside the confines of the canvas CushCase, it then sits snuggly within the interior of the Targus case and affords my Chromebook greater protection on the move than it might have done otherwise. The re-sealable opening ‘envelope-style’ end flap of the CushCase attaches to a corresponding 150mm x 19mm (5'" long x ¾" wide) strip of Velcro, which is securely sewn into the main outer surface of the sleeve.Highly recommended, great value and fully deserving 4 stars ****

Very good value and fits my MacBook Pro 13" very nicely.
Nice bag, has pockets inside as described by previous reviewer. Nice smooth action to the matt black metal zips, doesn't feel cheap at all. Comes with shoulder strap too (but be aware the loops are plastic - I don't carry the bag on my shoulder so that's not an issue for me). If u plan on carrying it around a lot on your shoulder, you might want to get one with metal loops on the shoulder strap.Has space for my Macbook Pro charger and for a other things like usb pen drives and even a thin portable hard drive if you have one. If u use the inside straps to secure the MacBook Pro 13", it's quite secure. For occasional and regular use in the house and for the occasional foray outdoors, I would recommend this. It might also do if u brought it out more often, but personally, I would get a bag with metal loops, but that's just me.EDIT: I've had a chance to look at the stitching and it's been done very well.. it's aligned and doesn't look like it will come apart any time soon.
