Does not come with key shroud, you will to re-use the one from your old keyboard
Works great, fits my T490 perfectly! Some of the function keys have different functions mapped to them compared to the stock/original keyboard, but don't create any real issue. The backlighting works well, a bit dimmer that I expected, but I did test this out in a well lit room.As mentioned in the title, you will need to re-use the key shroud/frame from your old keyboard as this replacement one did not have it!good luck with the swap!

Not even backlit. Cheap material.
The letters on the key caps are printed-on ink. Not transparent. Depending on the chassis style you're working with you will likely not even be able to see the back-light when turned on as the light would have to escape the cracks between the keys and chassis. So it's not a really real back-lit keyboard. They material is noticeably cheaper feeling compared to the factory lenovo keyboard on my t490s. Will probably return it. Also means I have to take the screws off again :) As you may have heard on this thread, there are 60 tiny screws to remove. Not hard but takes a lot of time.Ribbons were also backwards and misaligned on the model I received. Not the worst as some minor adjustments fixed but still not a good product in my eyes.Get dunked on crappy keyboard. Woot woot.

Takes time but it works
I have used this keyboard on a T495s and T14s. Some say it does not fit the T14s, it does. But it fits several models with different system boards so the ribbon cables may not line up. So you might need to change the folds of the cables to line them up with the system board connectors. It takes a little bit of geometry but it is possible to have them laying flat in the end. And yes, well over 50 tiny, tiny screws. I wish they would include a pack of 10 or 15 screws because I lost one. A well lit work area with a small bowl for the screws will help or a nice anti-static mat with areas for screws and tools. And a good tiny screwdriver (I used a Wiha PH00x40) and a screwdriver magnetizer will really help. And a lot of patience.

5 stars here's why and what I didn't like
I picked 3 stars because I typically look for real reviews and typically find the best reviews on a product in the 3 star range. So why is this a 5 star? Well1) price2) this does fit the Lenovo T-480S.However that being said, here is what is super important to know.I'm not a tech guy, but I can do some basic things, so.........I bought this "thinking" that it was the complete keyboard and would be a simple install. I even watched a YouTube vid on how to change out the keyboard. -really pretty simple. That being said, when I got the replacement keyboard, something looked funny about it. (Remember, I'm not a i.t. guy.) After quickly noticing that something looked different about the keyboard, I still then tried to install the new keyboard into the laptop and for some reason it just didn't seem to fit. It seemed too small and just didn't look or feel exactly like the OEM keyboard. After close inspection and also deeply literally comparing the OEM keyboard along side the replacement keyboard, I was finally able to notice that the OEM keyboard is actually two pieces. One piece is a black plastic (for lack of a better way to explain what it is) the keyboard has a black plastic frame that snaps to the actual keyboard. The actual keyboard itself is a very thin floppy type of pc board that is covered/wrapped in some type of black plastic.after noticing that the OEM keyboard is two pieces, it then began to "unsnap" the thin black frame from the OEM keyboard and then snapped it to the replacement keyboard...... then and only then did I have a truly replacement keyboard. And also, only then did the keyboard properly fit into the laptop. So buyer beware, incase you didn't know, this particular replacement keyboard is ONLY the floppy thin keys, and motherboard part of the keyboard. This item did NOT come with the black plastic frame that snaps together with the actual keyboard.Other than that, the keyboard is great!So....1) make sure that you have the old keyboard with you (to reuse the black plastic frame)2) Just make sure to take your time unsnapping the black plastic frame and resnapping it back together. All that stuff is super thin and the snapping connections all break super easy (because of how thin it is). I even broke one of the small covers (that covers the two screws on the keyboard 🤦🏽♂️ lucky the cover still sticks to the keyboard 🤞🏽🙏🏼Hope this helps

Worked perfectly for my X1 Extreme Gen3
Lots of tiny screws to remove during the replacement process. Recommend searching YouTube for instructions if you've never done this before. Other than that, I can vouch for the fact it works perfectly in my X1 Extreme Gen3.
