So if like me you love your cat and you have already purchased a bunch of different water fountains but each one has a problem such as being too loud, having to fill it every day or the reason I ended up purchasing this one was because my cat would flick water at the wall with he's tongue on the old fountains. After having my bookshelf ruined my wood flooring ruined i had to find a solution which was this fountain.Now before I tell you about why you should buy it I do realise it more than twice as expensive as the others you find on Amazon but I promise you it is worth it and here are the reason why1. It holds a lot of water so no having to top it up every couple of days. It lasts a whole week with my cat which means I do not need to worry about him due to the very long hours I work.2. My cat cannot flick water everywhere so this to me makes it worth every penny.3. easy to clean, take it apart and wash in the sink very quickly. Unlike other products I have used this product does not have mold growing on it after a few days. On the old water fountain I would either have to put it in the dishwasher or wash it with bleach every couple of months due to mold build up, Yes i did wash it out every few days so that wasn't the issue.4. The filters last a very long time and are absolutely amazing for filtering cat hair that gets into there.5. You can change the water flow rate at any time without having to dissemble the whole unit unlike every other water fountain. Makes setting up much easier.The only con I would say it has is if you do not seat the motor properly and make sure its stuck down well it can make a bit of a noise which is annoying, to fix this i just push down on the whole unit which stops it right away.

I am so happy with this product. My one cat starting using it within about 1 day and the other cat uses it more regularly now too - I have had this unit for 1 month. The slower cat still tries his luck at the bathroom basin but I bring him to his water fountain and say drink and he uses it!It can be a bit fiddly to clean the whole unit but it's definitely worth the trouble.My friend has a smaller, older model and she says she has to fill it up once a day and this one lasts at least 4 days so far with 2 cats.The unit is very quiet, the household radiators coming on probably make more noise. The only negative comment is that sometimes when the reservoir automatically drains to fill the rest of the fountain it can make a gurgling noise which startles me and wakes me if I'm asleep but it doesn't worry the cats too much, even if they're drinking at the time, which surprised me.I would definitely buy this product again.1 YEAR LATER: I'm still really happy with this product! I see both cats using it daily and if I find there is a small buzzing noise I simply adjust the little lever on the pump for speed (easy to reach) while it is running and it stops. Limescale is starting to present itself on the base, however I now rinse with a bit of white vinegar in the water when I clean it and rinse thoroughly thereafter.Correction the water lasts for more than 5 days with two cats.I had one occasion where the water didn't flow and this was easily fixed by ensuring there was no air bubble in the tube which leads down to the pipe - just pour a bit of water down it.I would still recommend this product 100%.

I had a different water fountain and this didn't last long, so I spent some weeks choosing a new fountain based on reviews. This was my choice and I'm not disappointed at all. It was easy to set up, I didn't need the instructions just followed my instinct. It holds 5 litres of water, plenty for my 2 small dogs. It works well with my teeth cleaning solution (liquid oral care) mixed in with the water. The fountain has speed settings to adjust the water speed. My dogs were fine on the fast setting. It's big but neat. Water stays in the fountain well, unlike my last fountain where any slight uneven surface could cause it to melt down and spill all over. I put a puppy pad underneath it just in case, and in reality there has been spillage only from the dogs drinking, and not enough to tax the pad. I've had it a week now and the filter remains clean and fur free. Could be because my dogs don't moult. Not sure how dogs who she'd like christmas trees would impact on the fountain. The fountain is quiet, the only noise I hear is running water which quickly fades into back ground noise. The water has lasted me a week and I've not had to change it or top it up. Love this fountain and more importantly my dogs will drink from it. It gives them fresh running water when ever its on. I only turn it off when I go out or at bed time, for safety reasons. Just incase my dog chews the cable/plug. Nice price, Prompt delivery, can't fault it so far and the real test will be in the longevity of the product. I hope it lasts a long time.
