Secure and comfortable
This is actually the second one of these I have bought - not that the first has worn out, but this one is to ensure that No1 son stops borrowing mine!Strap is secure when locked onto the strap buttons, comfortable in use, even with the heavy lump that is the Les Paul, and easy to get on and off.My only criticism would be that the neck end lock does not fit easily onto the button on one of my guitars - that is, however, an issue with the position of the button rather than the strap. It was simple enough to reverse the strap fitting and re-stitch the strap.I’ve had the first one a couple of years now - no signs of premature wear, or indeed any wear at all.Well worth it.

Non drill strap
I really didn’t want to drill into my PRS like you do with traditional locking straps and ended up finding this! It’s fairly sturdy and doesn’t rub against the body on guitar. I just wish the strap could go longer as I play with my guitar lower down, but it’s not a major problem.

Good product, but not for all guitars.
I've bought several of these for a number of electric guitars and they're superb locking function means you've no need to worry about the potential weakening and random disconnection. I bought this for a recently aquired Luna Eclipse electro-acoustic guitar and the locking clasp doesn't fit on the top stub as it's too close to the neck.I bought the guitar and this strap at the same time and could have waited for the guitar to arrive and tested one of my existing locking straps, but having bought several before, never thought it might not fit. This doesn't detract from the fact these straps are beautifully designed, well made and suitable for most electric guitars (Fender Strat, Telecaster and Gibson SG etc..) but might not be suitable for some acoustics. If you already have one, see if it fits your new guitar before buying another.

Great strap
I was looking for a secure and comfortable strap for my brand new Jem 70V SFG - one that I'd feel confident that I could swing the guitar (as is my wont) without danger of its coming free and bouncing along the floor - as has happened with conventional straps in the past. The locking straps that I have for my other guitars are no longer made, so I was looking for a new manufacturer and this Planet Waves strap seemed to tick all the boxes.I was a little concerned because the Jem strap knobs were bigger than those on most of my guitars. However, I had no problem fitting the strap locking system. I like the locking system used and feel 100% confident that if gravity does have its wicked way with the Jem, it won't be the strap's fault. It is as comfortable as any strap I've used - and a darn sight more comfortable than most. It has a lot of adjustment room and I feel that only an inordinately tall player doing his Jimmy Page 'hanging down by his feet' poses would consider that it wasn't long enough.I'm very happy with my purchase, so much so that I have ordered another for the guitar bought for my nephew's birthday.

Useless. Clasp snapped in use. Don't trust this on a valuable instrument.
I have only ever used this locking strap indoors and usually while sitting down. It's only a few months old. I have a few guitars and this was only on one of them and that guitar might be played once a week. I was just sitting, learning some BB King licks on YouTube when suddenly the neck-side clasp just snapped without warning. If i hadn't been sitting, the guitar would have hit the deck. Simply not fit for purpose. If you value your guitar look elsewhere. EDIT: Although Amazon were no help after 30 days, I was able to contact the manufacturer and they offered an immediate, no quibble, replacement and upgrade.

Everything you could want from a guitar strap!
This is the second Planet Waves locking guitar strap that I've bought. The material has a soft satin finish that looks and feels great, and the locking system on the strap ends is easy to use and feels very secure. I recently bought a nylon/polypropylene fender strap with regular leather ends that cost a couple of quid more than this - It was a struggle to fit because the eyelets in the leather ends were cut too small, and it doesn't look or feel anywhere near as nice as this. I'll be sticking with Planet Waves in future!

Caution required on the size of the 'button' that this locking system works with.
Comfortable strap, very attractive too.Trouble is it wouldn't fit either of My three acoustic guitars as the locking system couldn't cope with the size of the button on the rear of the guitar (all three have pickups installed and the button doubles as a 1/4" output socket). On two of the three the size of the strap's locking system prevented it being used on the neck button either - it needs a good amount of space between button and shoulder of the guitar for it to latch on.So, nice idea, great locking system too but be aware that, like me, you may have to return it - so not a good choice if it's for a last minute use at a gig or something of the sort..

Great strap!
Great guitar strap for an electric guitar for aspiring musician. Strong and reliable worth the money.
