Options as a Strategic Investment by Lawrence G. McMillan 5 edition (Textbook ONLY, Hardcover)

The book starts with the basic understanding of the options trading. However, it continues to provide more details about how different strategies work. It also includes more advanced strategies. As you get better educated, you can increase the likelihood of your trades resulting in higher returns.

I'm glad I bought it.I went from no idea to literate in options.If you want to really learn options read this book. Get the study guide. It's also very helpful.My background is in medicine and not in finance. But finance is my interest so it is enjoyable to read and study.

This and Natenbergs seminal work are what you need to get going. Look into Dr Sinclair Positional Option Trading 3rd.

Product arrived as promised and in good condition. The only caveat was, the date published was shown as 1940 when it was much later. I was concerned with the publish date and was reluctant to purchase. However, I am glad I purchased this book. It was cheaper from this seller than other places or sites I had checked.

Just about every other guide about options trading tries to convince you that they will teach you how to get rich. They are selling you snake oil. McMillan simply explains everything, what it means and how it works, as well as fundamental strategies, without the snake oil. Getting rich is all on you, your decisions, the work you put into it all ... and the luck of the market. Read and understand this book and you will do fine (as in "no worse than the market"), so long as you put in the work. And you won't be committed to someone's crackpot, get-rich-quick plan that you've been sold.

Lawrence McMillan writes comprehensively about the world of options in an understandable way. If you read through this book you will gain a great understanding of the use of options.

I bought this book about 25 years ago. Since then I've bought copies for friends and family. There are always two transactions in a trade; a buyer and a seller. Using options can enhance returns vs. just sitting doing nothing. The great thing is once you do your homework, your personal options strategy can be a one hour/week activity.
