Build quality is excellent, but bigger than expected. This is a 3 person one, for 1-2 people get the smaller one.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my sister who loves a herbal tea. She was delighted with it. She liked the look the colour and the fact that it came with an infuser. I also bought the trivet that matches so that she could keep it warm on the log burner.

I have had this tea pot for almost six months now and I can say I love it. I use it nearly every single day. I would of given it 5/5 but some of the enamel/paint came off the rim after the first use which shocked me but after months of continued use there has been no further deterioration. Great wee tea pot!

The black metal handle was broken off the cast iron teapot and the spout was literally sticking out of the box when the package arrived. Thankfully, no damage to the spout, but it took a man’s strength to force the handle back into the teapot.Also, the heavy handle does not stay in an upright position very well due to the odd-shape pointed ends that secure it into the teapot. It can easily drop at the slightest angle, slamming its weight on the side of the teapot. Even though the outer material of the teapot is very strong, the inside is porcelain. So special care should be taken to prevent cracking the inside. As a result, the best option is to keep the handle down when in use.I give it 3 stars because, 1) when the handle is up, I like the design; 2) heat retention is very good. Just pour in hot water before using, like one would do with a thermos; 3) the size can easily give tea for two.If the handle wasn’t broken upon arrival (I would have returned it but a strong man fixed it!), and if the handle would firmly stay in an upright position, this would be a 5 star teapot.
