I wanted to wait a year with these to review them due to the price and most of my other wool socks thinning within a year or getting holes. They have held up and I haven't noticed any thinning like my other merino blend socks. There's definitely cheaper options, but these are the thickest, coziest wool socks I own and are well built. They're also also the warmest wool socks I've ever owned. I reserve these for the coldest days because they can be too warm if it's just cold and not freezing. I'd estimate these have about 30 estimated wears and washes in them. The picture is from that amount of wear after a day of using them to show how they stretch. These also have a perfect medium in between too elastic and too loose. The only winter activity I can think that wouldn't work for these is some type of jogging or exercise in a loose shoe, because they will slightly loosen through the day, and I'd pick a more elastic sock for that.

I have size 12 extra wide wide feet and I got the XL they fit perfectly their comfy they are on the expensive side but I love the fact that they're almost 90% wool I've had 100% wool socks in the past and they keep your feet so toasty warm they're very well padded I wash them already several times I just run them through a normal cycle inside out on cold and then just hang them over the line until they dry naturally they don't shrink I haven't had an issue I wouldn't chance them in the dryer because they are wool I don't trust wool anywhere near a dryer or using hot water so as long as you wash them in cold water and let the air dry and make sure you get them inside out when you wash them I've had no problem very happy it's so hard to find high percentage wool socks most of them are like 15 or 20% and then a lot of acrylic these are 90%, it's almost impossible to find 100% wool socks anymore. About as close as I'm going to get

Good warm socks, good shipping shrinkage did happen but not enough to be a problem for me.

My husband claims these are the nicest socks we have ever bought. He loves how well they fit and the thickness. A great quality sock. We will purchase again.

Very comfortable and warm, fit well

My long search is over for warm, comfy, made in america socks! Plus, the high percentage of wool is legit, my cat went crazy over the wonderful lanolin scent. I wear size 7.5 womens shoes (european 38) and these Medium socks fit well, plenty of room in the toe box, no constriction in the ankle, firm but not overly tight in the calf. All the other american made brands I’ve tried felt like compression socks and cut off circulation, not these. My feet are finally cozy and warm, and the cushion is amazing. Truly the goldilocks of wool socks, I will be buying more!
