Powerful saw at a cheap price
Ordered yesterday and cutting logs up today! Really quick delivery to start.Setup in no time possibly as had chainsaws before. Instruction booklet is clear and easy to read/follow. Must have been updated since earlier poor reviews of manual. All went together fine, no problems.Filled with oil/fuel and started no problem. Was a bit concerned initially as tick over a bit lumpy but once warmed up, sounded fine. Cut 16" conifer logs with ease. Very powerful saw. Not sure how long chain will stay sharp as previous reviews said its pretty rubbish. Does have a spare come with it but have bought an oregon chain as a replacement anyway.Generally very pleased. Only small negative maybe the quality of the chain tensioning screw and the fact its plactic. Just feels cheap and liable to break. Rest of saw feels as quality as pemium saws. Will be used quite regularly so hoping it remains a good saw. If not, the 3 year warranty will hopefully cover any issues

Solid build, Almost professional
For a robust, powerful domestic chaninsaw this one definately hits the mark. It feels solid, runs well, starts easily, makes quick work of trees, branches, noisey neighbours and lots and lots of fire wood.As others have mentioned the instructions could be a struggle for beginners (well some parts of it) but theres a full colour version available from Hyundai website, the power tools one not the car one!For some reason Hyundai have changed the design of the chain tension screw on this model and this is what trips people up. It isn't clearly marked in the instructions and it also slips while turning. This is because the turning screw is attached to the tension screw by a little "gear" which tends to slip while turning, it does work though. If you have difficulty with this there is an excellent vidoeo on you tube of how to assemeble the chainsaw (slightly different model) but close enough to make it easy to follow. This is way i've taken a star off. It's a little heavy but again as others have said this is due to a more powerfull engine, if you have a man bun or noddle arms then best get your wife / girlfriend to do the prunning. Now lets be clear on this, the fuel ratio is 40:1 not 25:1 you must be accuarate with this to avoid the engine hunting, or stalling, not great if you're half way through a tree trunk. If you follow the start instructions it should start first time everytime but be mindful not to flood the engine.Overall a great affordable solid piece of kit.

Excellent Product!
I am a professional landscaper and I've had several chainsaws. I still currently own and use a Husqvarna with a 15" bar. I wanted a bigger bar but didn't want to pay as much as I would normally pay as I dont need a bigger bar very often. I was really pleased with this chainsaw, more power than you need and it's well balanced. The chains that come with it do feel really cheap, however they work really well, better than expected in fact. The only downside is there is a lot of vibration through it, so if you're leaving it running, you will have to put it on something soft like grass, otherwise it would start bouncing down the road. If you're wanting a chainsaw for cutting smaller logs for your fire, then it's a bit to heavy and heavy duty. Overall, a bargain at the price, would definitely recommend for larger logging.

Great quality, great value
Everything you would expect from Hyhundai - a very effective machine at bargain price ,so very pleased.I have cut large trees down with 30cm+ diameter trunks with ease.Glad I didn't spend 4 times more on big brand chainsaw.

A good buy.
Good value.Put the saw through some decent challenges since owning it, cutting mighty thick trees, and while the chain is still sharp, has plenty enough power to cut through basically anything.Runs well. And can't really fault it.Can recommend

Excellent value, surprisingly good build quality.
Arrived promptly. Easy to follow assembly instructions. Started first time & made short work of a 12” test log. Only gave 4 stars because I haven’t done a full days work with it yet so can’t comment on robustness or reliability. I bought this saw as a backup for my Husky & for the price I wasn’t expecting the high build quality & features that come with this saw. So far very happy with this purchase.

Worth buying for small holding, not professional
I've only used it over couple of days but performed well and started easily. Good power too. Chain needed tightening quite often, and it did suggest it would require tightening but thought after the initial couple of times it would be less ofter. Maybe a better quality chain when replacing.

The best quality to price chainsaw?
Interesting that ‘stretch’ is one of the three criteria to star. Yes, the chain stretched and needed fairly frequent tightening. But the manual did explain this would happen to a new chain. Other than that, this chainsaw seems to be exceptional value. It feels sturdy and very well made, and all parts look well engineered. It started straight away and idles healthily. It cuts cleanly through small tree trunks. If pushed against a log of about the same width as the bar (20”) it will stop due to the resistance. This is not the way to cut; allow the chain to cut without pressure on the wood, changing the angle slightly to open new faces to the chain. Then it whisks through. Coupled with a Bahco wedge, this makes fine logs from trees.
