Worked as advertised in our central A/C unit.
Our 10 year old A/C unit had developed multiple small leaks in the evaporator which resulted in the need for frequent charging. The A/C service people were not at all interested in fixing it properly and only wanted to sell us a new unit for $3000. As a last effort to avoid spending so much on a new unit we purchased the Leak Freeze product and installed it per the instructions and then charged the unit. Now, several months later, the A/C is still working properly without any more charging. I can't say that it will work as well for everyone but it definitely worked very well for us and we are very pleased. I would order this product again if needed for another unit.Edit : July 2016. Now over a year later and the A/C unit is still working perfectly. I am more than pleased with this product and still would highly recommend it.

Good product, just not too easy to inject
The actual product is very good. If you have very minor leaks, this can seal them without expensive repairs. However, this particular package, with the plastic syringe type injector is not easy to use. I needed to inject it into an R-410a system, which you might consider as medium pressure. There was absolutely no way I was able to budge the plunger against the low side pressure by hand. I put it into a caulking gun as suggested in various videos, and it bent the inexpensive caulking gun I was using. I purchased a high quality caulking gun with variable leverage, and it was able to force the liquid into the unit. The plastic injection tube 'ears' did push through though and I had to work around that. I like the product, I just think the application syringe/tube needs some improvement. It takes a lot of force to drive this into the AC unit.

WOW, great stuff
Ordered this on Monday got it on Tues. Had a leaking service valve which is common on HVAC units. My low side pressure was 74psi, yet I had no problem injecting this in with a quality caulking gun. Just need a firm grip. Sealed the leak with in a hour or so. Air coming out of the registers, dropped 2 degrees, I assume that it was the "magic frost" which is a lubricant of sorts. I've used all sorts of sealers over the years in automotive applications, and all I can say is that they have come a long way. Because this product is an oil based product, per say,the chance that this is going to damage any of the components of an HVAC system are slim to none. Before you pay big dollars to fix a leak , this product is worth a shot.

Didn't work on my R410a window unit.
OK, I used it as the directions stated as the unit was completely empty, then charged the window AC with about half (9 ounces) the specified amount of R410a (18.1 ounces) and let the unit run for about a hour...it emitted a sort of funny smell while it was running...then added another 6 ounces of R410a...(I used a small scale to 'weigh' the can)...unit started to get nice and cold...was blowing 55 degrees...let it run for another 30 minutes watching the pressure. Satisfied all was well, I turned the unit off...and a huge cloud blew out of the coil as the sealant failed to hold the 'equalized' pressure.Drat.

Problem Solver
I had a leak in the coil of an old 5 ton condensing unit of a split system. It was a big leak since refrigerant was lost in just 3 days, but was not easy to find because it spread all over the coil. Everything called to replace the unit, but emergencies and good prices don't come together. I applied this product and the system is running great so far. It was easy to apply, but I just have 30psi on the low line.I will post an update if it fails. If you don't see the update it means the system is still running fine.

Worth The Chance of Getting One-More-Season from Your Aging HVAC System!
Although the A/C Leak Freeze with Magic Frost was promptly received and easily pushed into my ailing Air Conditioning System, the product only provide me with 2 additional weeks of cool air before my A/C System again started blowing warm air. I ended up having to replace my entire HVAC System. Bottom Line: Using the A/C Leak Freeze with Magic Frost was well worth its nominal cost even if it had only given me one additional season of A/C and an opportunity to have another year to set aside the cost for a new/replacement HVAC System. Amazon (via Universal Technologies) service was outstanding.

BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
Installed A/C Leak Freeze in a 6 ton R-22 home air conditioning unit that needed to get topped off at least 2x per year and I could never find the leak. I was unable to depress plunger with compressor running but used a caulk gun and the product went right in. Do it slowly because you're adding a liquid right before the compressor into the SSV. I installed it at the end of July '14 and unit ran through the season. The compressor was quieter also.I contacted the manufacturer to see how much I needed for an R410A system at work. Same problem-cannot find a very small leak. 8-10oz was recommended for a 180 lb. circuit. Pretty cheap considering a similar repair (dismantling an evaporative condenser, detection, evacuation and recharge, etc.) exceeded $10,000. I'll let you know how I made out. I may get away it for under $300.Good luck!!
