Licensed plumber here, I love this tool.
I was scheptical because I've used similar smooth jaw pliers that haven't worked very well. But these beauties work very well. Super easy to use and they don't slip easily, at all. They don't easily damage trim either. Most of the time they don't mark at all. It's a must have for plumbers in my opinion. Way better than any crescent wrench.

Great idea
Every tool box needs these. I have all three sizes. Very good quality.

They may take some getting used to
When I shopped for these there were tons of positive reviews. I have owned these for about 6 months. I think they are OK but not up to all the hype.Maybe I need more time to get more used to these but I'm really preferring my old school Craftsman adjustable wrench to this in the vast majority of cases. The old style adjustable is easily snugged down on a nut, using the thumb to snug down the knurl. It's a one handed operationWhith these Knipex Pliers Wrenches it is more fidgity and complex to figure out which setting will be best to apply torque and be snug when turning a nut. It really is a two hand operation to adjust the setting on these. These Knipex have come in handy to squeeze in parallel fashion inorder to straighten things so it can do some things that an adjustable can not. Maybe after alot more use I will be faster at selecting the correct setting? I do appreciate that once it is set just right I can be assured of a snug fit.But in most everyday situations, a good well built old school adjustable will be faster and perfectly adequate.I suggest, get both and buy them while you are youg because good tools last a lifetime and beyond. There are very few things in life that will do that!

Excellent, Well-Made Tool
A nice alternative to a crescent wrench. Rather than fitting loosely over a hex head nut or bolt, it locks on so there is no slippage. Won't damage a hex head the way vice grip pliers can do.
