X96 Mini Android 7.1 TV BOX 1GB 8GB AMLOGIC S905W QUAD CORE SUPPORT 2.4G WIFI H.265 X96MINI MEDIA PLAYER

I was skeptical at first buying this one due to it being one of the cheaper models but this thing is a absolute beast. I've had it almost a year now and still going strong with zero issues.

I bought this specifically to use the Video Kiosk app from Google play to create a video kiosk for our church. The setup was easy and simple (for me, 40+ years in IT). The only challenge I faced was after all the setup was complete the Google Play store would display a box saying 'Application Stopped.' This would normally be an OK thing if you were using this interactively but not for an unattended kiosk. Don't know why it does this but to prevent it from happening I simply disabled the app in app settings. Otherwise this little unit does exactly what I needed

This works ok. I was not able to set up a bluetooth keyboard or mouse. We are using it for an offline video player at our cabin and it does that job ok.

I ordered 2 of these boxes and 1 of them works fine but the other one the remote does not work and now I'm seriously unsure of what I can do with it since I can't even connect it to the wi fi

Never worked the way I hoped it would. Might be the device, or it might be my lack of IT skills. I was hoping it would allow our smart TV to act more like an extra computer. It never seemed to be of any value. It was an interesting experiment.
