Effective manual centrifuge style pully operated dryer.
I have only just used it once. It works amazingly well to spin-dry the clothes I placed within. It is definitely not a quiet mechanism to operate but getting it up to as near its maximum rpms does the job quickly. It is a great alternative to an electric dryer although some time hanging to dry may be expected. I am unsure how much water can be drawn out of a pair of jeans, my load was wool underwear, socks and tshirt all fairly lightweight. It sounds somewhat like a jet taking off but may be as loud as a stand mixer on its max setting, possibly almost as lout as a circular saw. Fewer rpms may be quieter but likely reduces effectiveness and probably would take longer.

Don't kill your back
In the video it's a person bending at the waist and pulling. Not great for your back.

Great idea but not very effective
It's a great rowing machine workout but does it wring clothes? No. I can remove more water by hand wringing by hand.

Good Backup
I got this as a manual backup for my electric spin dryer, and it works as well for that purpose as I could've hoped. That said, I definitely wouldn't rely on this as my main means of drying clothes. The best thing about this spinner is that it actually reaches a sufficient RPM to spin water out of clothes- I wasn't able to do that with the industrial size salad spinner I got, which works off the same basic principle. This spinner, if and when loaded well, spins enough water out of lightweight clothes to take them from sodden to just damp. It works well for what it is. You're not going to be able to spin heavy clothes or large loads in this, it can be difficult to balance the load, the constant bend and straighten gets old quickly, and you have to be careful (especially with the drain hose). But when the power goes out, if it stays out for days at a time- as is entirely possible when hurricanes are a very real and present threat in the summer- this will drastically improve my quality of life. I'm glad to have it. ... also it's super cute.
